Default Wotlk - The Nexus - Telestra

1 pally and 4 ele shamy, all lvl 73. Checked past post and wiki and all talked about regrouping and chain heal after the bounce effect. Problem is my shammy are all down to 20% after the very 1st bounce and got AOE to death before i can heal. Never lasted beyond the 2nd bounce. Am I missing something or is my team to weak to do WOWLK instance? All shammy around 8K HP and 600 spellpower.

Position your 4 shamans behind the transparent wall... Even though it's a wall it doesn't break LOS...this will keep your shams from being pulled. The pillars around the opening of her room can be used to LOS with your paladin to bring her closer. You shouldn't need to do it this way, but when all else fails this way works :P.

Yes thats the way I prefer it. Also drop 4x healing stream totems every time she does the gravity well - this will negate a large portion of the damage (especially if you have healing stream totem glyphs).

You can probably beat her even without standing behind the wall if you drop healing stream totems when she gravity wells (and use shocks since you can still instant cast).

Ok ressing this old post because this fight just destroys my team and I could use some more tips. I can down the other 2 bosses with no issues, in fact apart from her I can clear the instance without deaths unless I get cocky Which I frequently do.
    Current setup - lvl 73
DK blood tank (In cobalt set)
    Shaman healer
    3x Beast Hunter DPS

    I have tried
Parking my guys about half way in the room (So far has worked best)
Having my guys follow my tank in (AoE killed them)
Parking them on the outside of the wall (LoSing her caused major issues and just took too long)

I pop Misdirect on my 3 hunters, bloodlust on my shaman, Fire and Earth ele totems, healing stream and blow every cooldown my hunters have and just smash into her. I usually get her to about 30-50% before she does her split... Thats when it all goes to s***

Can anyone think of any tips to help with this? I have tried grouping my guys up on my tank (I hit my follow button while they are flying around so they all run to my tank and are central not long after it ends) but everyone just gets AoEed down so I think keeping them spread out is a better idea.
Basically my healer cant heal fast enough and everyone ends up dying :/

Edit : One thing i think i will try is just as the bouncing ends I will pop deterrence on my hunters. This will give me a few seconds to top everyone up, get aggro on the 3 mobs and hopefully turn my hunters around. I will prob bind antimagic shell to the same button for greatly reduced damage in the block. I dont think my shaman has anything similar *goes to look at shaman spells*

but yes any other tips people can think of still very much welcome.

I usually just park my guys by the front of the room. Pop heroism and blast her. When she splits, I drop D&D right away and use all remaining runes for blood boil.. This way I keep the clones on me and just blast the Frost clone first, then Arcane, then Fire. If a slave loses target/focus, I call them to the master to reset and spread out.

Sometimes it gets really messy - still a problem of losing focus or not being able to target properly until i force a target switch and then retarget last target. This happens after a CC to my slaves or master..? Not sure but it's irritating.. But still the key for me is to nuke as hard in the beginning, then grab all the clones right away during the split. Healing.. Chain heals on the team and Earth+Rip on Tank (Blood) is usually sufficient.

Interesting that you're this low after bounce.

I seem to remember the damage output during that phase being minimal. It might have been my prayer of mending bouncing around like crazy that helps out though.

I highly recommend using your fire elemental on this boss. Helps to take some of the damage and keep the splits off your team. The healing stream totems are probably your best option. Unaffected by the bounce and should help maintain your shaman's health. And yeah, blow your CDs

My paladin 4x shaman team handle this boss, just like I do Eck and any other high damage output boss. My shaman have 2 buttons. One for dps and one for heal. The dps button is the standard /click macro that everyone uses. My heal button is simply the dps macro for 2 of my shaman, and the other 2 its a simple /target self cast chain heal. With the glyph to hit an extra target on the chain heal, this makes all the troublesome bosses trivial. Ive tried having them all chain heal, but I found its just so much easier to keep half the shaman dps'ing so the bosses die and everyone stays topped off.

In the movie section I have an older Gundrak video and you can see that I use this 2dps 2chain heal setup on Eck, the water elemental boss and the last boss.

Its not right after the bounce that I am so low, its about 2-3 seconds after that as they throw AoE around :/ Unfortunatly Im not going to get to try again until tomorrow night. But damn if prayer of mending & healing wouldnt help a whole ton on this fight :/

Have you considered staying outside the chamber and dps from there? The have the tank near the boss. This way your dps and healer is "out of range". This possible if you position your dps and healer correctly.
