Team Combo's and how to beat them

Thought I'd start up a thread on combo's that people have run across and had trouble beating so that others could help find strategies to beat them. Post combo's that you've had trouble beating or combo's that you've roflstomped. I'll try to update this thread regularly.
Post he team comp and how to beat them in the same format as below.

Team: Mage, Pally, Pally, Rogue, Druid
How to Beat: Set focus to a pally and nuke one of them down fast (best the healer or dps one), next try for the druid to knock out all their healers. Have Healing Stream totem down to help your healer because the mage will be doing AoE.

Team: Deathknight, Prot warrior, Retri pala, Rogue/mage, Resto shaman
How to Beat: Set focus to the rogue or mage, kill resto shaman first followed by the focus, use healing stream totems (theres gonna be a lot of AoE), chain heal on all your guys if you start falling below 60% hp, kill the ret pally/DK after the focus and shaman are dead.

Team: Mage, Mage, Retri, Holypala, Boomkin
How to Beat: Your not gonna beat them

Team: Prot warrior, ret pally, shaman, shaman, Boomkin
How to Beat: Drop a shaman(healer) then boomkin to delete another dps. Once those two are dead drop the other shaman -> ret pally -> prot warrior

That one is survivable with the help of focused targeting.. you surprise one paladin with Lava Burst + CL + Shock.. it all land at the same time, on an unsuspecting target.. = kill.
Much less dps to worry about after that.

I'm running quad sham with healing priest.


Now, what's really hard is this:
DK (anti-magic, possibly also blood elf for aoe silence)
Prot warrior (aoe stun spam, can also be blood elf, aoe silence)
Retri pala (blood elf for sure, aoe silence)
Rogue/mage (lolhi@burstdps, aoe silence possibly)
Resto shaman (heroism, grounding totem)


It's.. well.. harsh to say the least.


I have come to one conclusion though.. and it is.. DON'T have a button to fire all of your Thunderstorm in one press.. it's so not worth it. With the amount of HP going around these days you will basically never kill people with this sort of thing unless you're lucky. Aim for killing single targets instead, and use your TS in round robin to not get ROFLstomped.. remember.. TS has no diminishing returns and is an interrupt.. it's very powerful as a utility spell and should NOT be used as a dps spell.

I'm running my 5 shaman on a new team every week. Right now staying alive more than 3 seconds is lucky. My goal is run 10 games a week until I get all the blue set. In the mean time I am getting non set epics. Once I get them fully geared I will try a healer +4. Right now my highest resil guy has 500. Next week I will have the pants and should get another epic ring or cloak. When they release the rewards for wintersgrasp I will have the helm and boots. I thought they fixed team matching with wotlk. Today I played a team that was 1650 ranked 64th on the battlegroup last week and I only had a 1375 team rating. I still think the matching system sucks ass. Until I can gear fully with 80 pvp gear I am not going to try at all in arena.

I'm actually able to kling to 1500ish rating with my new priest.. he's skilled with the fear bombs, and I've taught him to kill grounding totems, so it's quite promising. Still get roflstomped by all teams that have a DK and a retri.

Its the same as hateful but with hit instead of crit.

I'm run my 5 shammys with a restro druid swapping one out on occasion. The first week was very painful losing 0-10. I did more games the following Tuesday and lost another 14 games straight until I figured out that I had a problem in all my DPS macros. I changed them from 70-80 to run heroics with a tank. My macro would first attempt to dps the targettarget, so whenever I would switch to their healers, it would basically dps the target that was guaranteed to get the heals. I didn't catch on until i was in an av and a rogue was attacking a ram and when I tried to kill him, it took out his target. OOOPS. LOL.

With my team being at 0-24 (1302 rating), I felt very helpless, but after changing the macros, i found myself winning a lot more. Got the rating back up to 1450 when we decided to quit last night, but felt like we could have kept going. I'm definitely more optimistic after last nights experience.

I mostly agree with magwo to not use all your TS's to try and take out there targets as this is a great way to keep melee off you for a considerable amount of time, but I also found a combo that works very well with it. When facing a heavy melee combo that charge in immediately, I found the best solution to immediately drop nova totems, followed by 2 warstomps, then hit my elemental mastery with all the thunderstorms. Every team I faced that had 3 or more people that charged in under that scenerio got destroyed hard with the exception of a 3 ret paly team that charged in and bubbled. Can't wait for the nerf bat on that one.

My highlight of the night was a match where their entire team stacked on top of me and was doing a good job taking me down (about 50% on all 4 toons), then once nova/TS combo hit, all 5 of them died instantly. I would pay some cash to get their vent recording on that one.

My target order is typically warrior, hunter, warlock, priest, shaman as everything has a way to survive the instant they see the four flameshocks on them.

The one team that absolutely destroyed us twice last night had a mage, two warlocks, a balance druid and a ret paladin. They would open up with the paladin bubbled running into my group, followed by the druid opening with a typhoon, then all four of them would aoe the group down. I was able to kill a warlock the first time, and the druid the second time, but the remaining aoe was way too much to heal through. I have no clue how we could play that one much different as the actual fight lasted all but 3-4 seconds both times.
