so i was thinking about on my new computer i am going to be getting of getting 3 video cards and running 2 monitors off of each 1 (6 monitors on 1 computer, 2 per GPU). but then i noticed the price =P. so i started thinking about a 42" or bigger LCD HD TV. i was wundering if to run something that big with 5 instances of WoW on it would it be recomended that i still go with 2 or 3 way SLI? i was looking at either the GTX 260's or the 9800 GTX+'s. would the TV even take advantage of SLI? from my understanding of SLI is that it not only increases the performance of what you are doing if it can take advantage of SLI, but it also increases the resolution output total of the cards by combining them together. do i need to have a HDMI compatible GPU or are they all HDMI campatible with a DVI/VGA to HDMI addapter so i can play blue rays off of the computer?
i figure a decent TV and wall mount will cost about the same as 6 19"-22" monitors and a hex monitor stand. so why should i get something that can only be used for the computer when i could get something just as good that can be used for multiple purposes? IMO a big tv that you can use as a monitor and can be split into 5 instances of WoW vs 5 monitors is a much better deal. anyway i just wanted any opinions on this and any help on these questions i have.
Thanks in advance. ^_^
