Default Frustrated looking for a new start

I enjoy a PvE game, and I have been 6-boxing Eq2 since lanch but, the lastest expansion TSO is very boxer UNfriendly. The expansion added 20 new Heroic instances and I can't run a single one of them. I am just not having any fun in EQ2 so I started playing around with WoW.

So here is the curx of my question, with the latest expansion of WoW are the Herioc Instances boxable? Befor I invest my time to level to cap I want to make sure I will enjoy the content when I get there.

In Eq2 the instances are now heavily scripted and if every member of the group does not do the right thing at the right time the result is often an insta-wipe. In many instances there are stupid physical manipulations required by multipule group members simulatious to the fight, not something that is boxer friendly. Will I run into these same sort of issues in WoW, or will the problems be more about spell rotation and gear?

I am hoping to find a more boxer freindly situation in the game content in WoW. From my gleaning of the forums it looks like 1 Paly and 4 Shammies is the way to go.

Looking for some assurance that this a doable, thanks for any help.

Heroics in WoW are easily boxable, with the exception of one or two fights. However they will be changing all vehicles to behave as mounts so I would assume that will make those bosses eventually boxable as well. Make sure you choose a setup that makes sense (don't pick all caster classes unless you like dieing a lot) and you will be fine.

There are currently 12 level 80 heroics in the game and 11 of them have been cleared by the following setups:

Pally Tank, Resto Shaman, 2 Elemental Shaman and Balance Druid
Pally Tank and 4 Elemental Shaman

This is just what I know about, there may be others.

I personally run Pally Tank, Resto Shaman and 3 Elemental Shaman and have cleared 5 heroics by myself.

Unlike Multilocks, I read the patch notes differant and think the changes only apply to vehicle mounts, not all vehicles, making the 12th heroic almost if not entirely impossible.

As for your group, pally tank is probably the easiest but death knights are definately gaining favor and for your casters I would probably go healer (I don't think it really matters which but shaman are pretty easy as they basically have two heals), 2 elemental shaman and a balance druid. I personally don't have a balance druid because I don't feel like going back and leveling one but they currently bring better buffs/debuffs than a 3rd elemental shaman does especially if your healer is already a shaman.

Sweet, 11 out of 12 I can live with that, much better than 0 for 20.

Thanks for the responses, I am pretty pumped to get this going.

Aradar, I am going to go with your suggestion for the group, Pally Tank, Resto Shaman, 2 Elemental Shaman and Balance Druid. Thats a lot learn.

Gamestop had the Battlechest for $30, so I picked up 5 of them. I have a week off for so I going to start messing around and get all the accounts going.

Qustion, is there any good reason I need the Lich King expansion right away?

Lastly the one thing I will miss is my EQ2 guild, some good people there, I plan to dump all my plat and status into the guild befor I leave.

Any suggestions of a Realm/guild that is open to multi-boxer.

There any many good choices, any tank and ranged dps/heals works. I see people with DKs as tanks now and it has its benefits ( ebon plague/magic resist dome..ect ) But Tank+4 shamans is fun, safe and effective for many reason you can find listed here on these forums.

I wanted to add that if your going Alliance. My guild has six 5 boxers in it atm. I don't think any server is completely "multi-boxer" friendly. I have ran in to haters on a few servers. I ignore them and just have fun. Galakrond is the name of my server. Character names in my sig 8)
Currently 5 Boxing 5 Protection Paladins on Whisperwind Alliance

Just to make sure you are aware of this.......

USE REFER A FRIEND WHEN YOU CREATE YOUR ACCOUNTS

If you're unsure of what refer a friend is, do some searches here, or on the main WoW forums

If you were already planning on using RAF, sorry for wasting a post!

Not that I can think of.

I'm not refuting what he says but since you are new to the game, Ebon Plaguebringer can be handled as well by the balance druid talent Earth and Moon. Both of these provide a 12% increase in spell damage to the group which is why they have become so attractive. Warlocks can also provide this up to 10% with Curse of the Elements (maybe more from talents, I don't know) but I guess because they are more squishy (wear cloth) they aren't as popular.

    Thanks for the help guys.

A little more frustration setting up 4 trial accounts from the same IP address causes some sort of error, I guess to prevent hackers. Drove to work and setup the last account from there.

Got past that now all the accounts are running working on game mechanics/macros. It will not be long now.

I am already starting to have fun once more.

    Thanks

You did set them up with Refer a Friend right? It's double the xp for the accounts for 90 days. If not, no big deal. You will still hit 60 pretty fast.

What multibocks said! Remember recruit-a-friend! If you don't have a sponsor, only buy needed spells and nothing else If you serious about boxing, you can probably find someone in here to donate some bags (which will help a lot getting started). If you're a Thunderhorn-EU, shoot me a tell and I'll hook you up with some bags.

As far as the heroics go, like someone else said, they're very doable, except for Oculus, which require vehicles. And while (as one poster said) they're making some of the vehicles into mounts, that only goes for non-functional vehicles AFAIK, meaning that follow still wont work in oculus.

Anyway, the reason I posted this is that I'm curious - why are the EQ2 heroics harder to box? Is it due to complexity?
