JC is the best profession available right now.
Dragons eyes sell very well(400g on Antonidas us).
BoP gems are amazing, best boost for Your dps/tank over other professions, as You get to choose what You want(hit/crit/def/haste/dodge etc)
BoP gems count towards Your meta, so You don't need silly greens or purple gems.
Prospecting ore.(just prospected 50 stacks of saronite, that i bought for 20g a stack. so 50 x 20 is 1000g, I got 11 scarlet rubies from it, which sell on my server for 100g + uncut, I can cut them into 19 sp, which is 140g, so that pays for the ore, now I also got tons of other blue gems(38 blue all together))

I have 2 JCs on my team, If I could, all my toons would be JCs.
