Default How well will this system preform?

So I've played with dualboxing in the past but never was able to go full time into it. I'm looking to change that. In order to do so, i know that I need to severely upgrade my pc to fully enjoy it the way I would like. So I'm thinking about going after a whole new machine. Before I do so, I want your thoughts. What I want to be able to do is 4-5 characters with the settings cranked, and FPS high. However, I don't have a huge fund for it. I want to keep it <$1,000 for sure. I'm looking at the following:

I just want to know if this will do what I want it to and if not, what can be upgraded/downgraded to do so?

    Thanks in advance!

    Default

Everything looks good except for the video card(s)

A single 9800 GT will be better and more trouble free then two 9400 GT in SLI configuration.

Take a look at this link:

    9800GT vs 9400GT

Now take a look at the "At a Glance" section and pay attention to the Memory Bandwith, FLOPS, Pixel and Texture fill rates. You will notice that if you double up the numbers from the 9400 they are still lower then the 9800.

Then take a look at the Details. Here you want to look at Shader Processors and Texture Units. Again, if you double up the number for the 9400 it is still lower then the 9800.

Add to that that SLI configurations and WoW multibox don't mix to well, they may work, but probably more trouble then what is worth.

Awesome, that does seem a lot better. Thanks for your input.

So that sort of setup will idealy run up to 5 instances of WoW, main able to get 30+ FPS with settings cranked? <3 if it does.

Since your getting a new rig, why not spring for another 4gigs of ram

Ram is so cheap these days so why not just get 8gigs from the get go?

I whole heatedly agree with this it's not too expensive and you will see an improvement with wow and the system as a whole. I just upgraded to 8 gigs and it's great.
