Sigh...Heroics are owning me...

I managed to finally clear Heroic Utgarde Keep tonight too! I even managed Ingvar which I was not able to do on normal difficulty ever before. I did have a shammy die because of the flying swords but I still managed to lay waste to him.

Still on the first and second boss I still had trouble (Wiped twice on Prince, but nothing on the pair). Its the adds that cause me so many problems.

For Prince I pulled him into the room before his and LOS so I could get him in really close. I pretty much just went to town on him there. Dropped Magma totems and just DPS him down. However usually after 1-2 deaths of the skellys they turn on my healer or DPS and wreck him. I did manage to keep him up, but it was difficult.

As for the pair, the only thing that started to get to me was that at one point there were like 10 skellys up. They always kept going for my team as I was tanking fairly far away. I guess I should just tank closer cause there really isn't any AOE to worry about or nothing in this match.

As for Ingvar I just used the usual strat I to my suprise I didn't get hit by a dark smash and viola smashed him instead.

Consecration and Holy Wrath FTW! save your conc for when the skeletons are spawning, when there up holy wrath them to stun them all they will peel back over to the paladin, chain lightning and any other aoe totem you have on the ground will kill them, about 35% in, i usually trinket, lust, and drop all 3 fire elementals i have to finish off the skeletons as the pop, and the ice prisons.

I also position at the in the hallway before the room in the left or right corner, i usually try to keep prince in close..

Yeah I read that post about /cast random and /cast sequence. I think for me personally using cast sequence is probably better only in that I hate to have to try and remember during a boss fight to apply flame shock. I'd rather just spam one button cause there is enough going on. I'm using one shammy resto ATM so that is no good.

I managed to down Eck finally when I changed to the cast sequence macro. DPS race FTW. I managed to down Collosus first try as well. Pretty easy boss there. However Saladran is who caused me problems. I just couldn't focus enough DPS on him fast enough before the snakes overwhelm my shammies (cause I ignore them) and my resto goes down first and then its game over from there. I attempt to wait as long as possible before doing my TS on my chars (cause I don't RR it) and it kills them all cause in that fight I link it with Elemental Mastery.

I realized that I can probably up my +spellpower by about 100 on all my chars through an upgrade to Rev's set and spellpower enchant to gloves and bracers as well.

Just takes time to learn the best ways to do the strats, i actually wiped about 100% durability to 0% durability on the snake guy 2 times in a row, just learning the fight.

I used to fight him in his room, then i moved to the water/entrance area, now i fight him in the second room, having my shamans on the middle mound of bones halfway up, With my tank fightning him near max range. I drop my concecrete back on the slow and move up to engage him, sometimes it helps, but sometimes the snakes move right through so, after the pile of snakes is amassing, i usually Tstorm and then drop all 3 fire elementals, and 75% of the time the fire elementals concentrate on the snakes rather then the boss. also, everyone has a strat that they like. Its just a matter of you getting to a point where you have a strat that you live, over time youll get to a point where you say this encounter, and will probable be back for the drakkari colossus, where i still have problems with today, but hes still do-able even with all the movement.

The reason I suggest to move you guys to the entrance area is that if they are on a different level than the tank they don't get hit by the poison AE, which is not trivial in heroics. However one or two dps may die as the snakes ignore my tank. TS x4 usually can finish them off at end of fight.

I never had a problem with his Poison Nova it was the stupid snakes killing my team. With the above strat I wasted him no problem as most of the snakes went on my tank and I got extra DPS in with my Healer at the start which helped a ton. I even got the achievement for it.

For the snake boss in Gundrak just park your team on the stair case and the poison nova wont hit them, i pull him into the door way- balls to the wall dps i drop my fire elementals when the adds come and they take care of them. Up until now this boss and the first 2 bosses in HoL were the only 3 i could do on heroic. now that my badges have added up and have 3 titansteel guardians (working on the 4th) i can do all of UK and then some. id say just find an easy boss you can do and just farm him everyday. it will all add up along with the rep and then it will be cake. as far as rep is concerned i chose knights of the ebon blade first for the pants, 104 spelldmg with a socket, and a spellthread, plus theres a nice cloth belt which helps
