Easy to follow post on how to remove Blizzard's forum pesky advertisements

The link above has a clear method for removing Blizzard ads thanks to the firefox community.

My problem with Blizzard doing this is the fact that they are trying to earn money by people who are seeking support to play a game that they have purchased. A great many people visit Blizzard forums due to game breaking bugs, or system errors when playing the game, etc. These people should not be subject to further attempts at financial extraction from Blizzard. It is appalling and disrespectful.

you can also just use adblock and block adbureau.net and atdmt.com this will block all adds from the wow site. Well I havent seen any adds since I start blocking those anyways

Having adblock and "Remove It Permanently" is kinda overkill

I don't know that I would limit it just to people that are in distress. I was pretty upset this morning when saw the ads since I pay to support the game and I don't care to look at advertising simply because someone felt like getting a few more pennies.

The official forums are so full of tripe and abrasive disrespectful dick-waggling stupidity, it's a tiny drop of Wonderful that its denizens should react to WoW-related ad content with outrage. Pages upon pages of single-line replies along the lines of "lol ur stupid /quitlife plz" is completely unobjectionable ... but t-shirt ads?! Oh, the OBSCENITY! By WoW forum standards, every post should be able to include footage of polyp removal surgery gone bad, instructions on how to make your own KKK hood out of construction paper and glitter, and a link to Uwe Boll's blog, all without the raising of a single eyebrow.
