Saw Metallica here a few weeks ago and it was a great show as expected. Their new album is definitely the best since the black album. The Sword sounded like they might be good on the album (a lot of Sabbath influence it sounded like) but it was hard to hear with poor sound quality at the show.
Someone mentioned Tool, I have to say, Tool was by FAR the most disappointing concert I've ever gone to. I love the band, but man that was not a good concert. The opening act was terrible (like "WTF is this shit" terrible), and maybe they just had an off night that night or something but man. They played two nights, and I had some friends that went to the other night and said it was good, but the friend who I saw them with agreed it was just off. I don't get it, because pretty much everyone says they're awesome live. They're still one of my favorite bands and I'd like to see them again when I get the chance.
For Black Label Society, get the first two albums! Wow! So much better than the newer ones, it's sad. Zakk's solo albums ("Book of Shadows", "Pride and Glory") are also great, but much more mellow, especially Book of Shadows; it's mostly acoustic.
