My "all time favorite" is Metallica but Id have to say my actual favorite band right now is Queens of the Stone Age (hence my avatar). They aren't metal but they just do it for me. I enjoy Pantera in small doses. Judas priest is a curious case of getting MORE heavy as they get older instead of less (compare Breaking the Law to something like Bullet Train, lol. I also enjoy the solo work that Rob Halford did, he put out some good tunes. Maiden have made a bit of a comeback after Bruce Dicky left (and he put out some mean solo albums as well, Chemical Wedding is awesome).

I am always looking for new music to check out. Not really familiar with Black Label Society or Clutch, I will have to see if I can find something good on youtube.

As to what I listen to now, Clutch is currently my favorite (saw them in Austin the other weekend, kicked some major ass). Then there's Rammstein, Pantera and Black Label Society if I'm in a heavy mood. Maiden, new Priest, some Ozzy. Light mood is stuff like Nickleback or Evanescence or country like Steve Earle, old school country like Gary Stewart and Cash. Pretty much anything that I consider 'good' music.
