I got a new rig to five box with and it has been working really well so far for me. I have the regular 1 pally and four shammy combo... but i really enjoy them a ton. I ran through all of outland feeling free and joyful all through outland. Yesterday i went to northrend for the first time. I was only getting between 10 and 20 frame rates but it was still just ok to play. I am in the Howling Fjord. Today i logged in and my frame rates are worse off than a fresh rolled group of level one alts in and end game raid with the Lich King himself! I was getting between 1 and 15 frame rates. 15 was as smooth as it ever got and it never got better than that. I am looking for ways to be able to up my frame rates so the game is playable. I have my different directory set up to be linked to use less resources.

So this morning i was at 4 GB memory and when i checked running my five instances of wow was taking 80 to 90 percent of my memory so i thought memory was the problem and upgraded to 8 GB of memory today. I am now getting between 5 and 18 frame rates with this set up. This is still really low and hard to play, any suggestions or thoughts?
I read on the forums that windowed mode in the interface can really suck frame rates down and i turned it off and will see if it helps but i am thinking i am going to need to do something more major than that. How have your guys adjusted your video settings? Any other tricks? Does northrend really take that much more power? I am also going to do a manual driver check and update for my video card and see if there is anything there to be fixed or updated.
Confused. ;( :cursing:
EDIT:
I turned off windowed mode and closed down and then rebooted up but then windowed mode was on again so i am guessing that keyclone makes use of windowed mode and so it is auto selected with the maximizer function.
EDIT 2:
I updated my video card directly from the source i turned down many of the effects in the video effects options tab under the interface. I set the Resolution to 1440x900 widescreen and i am still getting only around ... 11, 10, 9, 12, and 11 frame rate when i just looked now at the instances currently running. My memory usage is at 59% (8 gig) and my cores are working at 70%/67%/34%/37% for each one when i looked just now. Still my frame rates are at 11, 10, 11, 18 (omg! 18) and 10. Still not sure what or where to adjust. I took the Multisampling down as well but i didn't see much of a jump in my frame rates.
