I have a death knight who I am using to dps on my melee team.... I am really torn between blood and unholy, wondered if any of you had any thoughts.
Seems like both give some good buffs but I think blood wins on the buff side of things... i think it will be a little more involved to play though.
Looking at it from a group buffing perspective, seems like
Blood =
Abominations might (10% ap buff) (have an enh shaman that can provide this if need be)
Glyphed rune tap = 10% group heal every 30 seconds
Blood aura (4% damage done returned as health)
Hysteria (20% damage buff on 3m CD)
Mark of blood - debuff placed on mob, heals whoever he hits for 4% of their life up to 20 times (3 min cooldown)
Unholy =
Glyphed rune tap = 10% group heal every 30 seconds (its low enough that you can reach it from any tree)
Ebon plague debuff (13% more magic dmg taken)... i think this would, for the most part, only effect the the lightning / chain lightnings my shaman occasionally throws
Unholy aura - 15% run speed increase.
Anti magic zone - scaling magic damage absorption for group, 5 min cooldown
So buff wise blood seems like a clear winner.
I am not sure about the DPS side of things, but for AOEing at least unholy seems to be the winner hands down. With unholy blight and wandering plague i dont see how you can go wrong.
Ugghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I am leaning towards blood for the buffs and I like the idea of blood aura even if its a paltry 4%.... oy.
Any thoughts appreciated.
