Default Buggy: My characters of a few are running around and around nad around or turning around and around after adding a macro. Why???

Do you know is this a bug or a reactions of typing a text (which are sensed by all windows) but usually any time I write a macro some of my characters start spinning around themselves like crazy or running around and around or sometimes just running away ahead. When I click in their window I cannot even stop it!!! No matter what the keep moving like drunk ghosts. Finally follow command or many tries somehow end them moving but I cannot identify the recipe.

So what is happening??? Is this a bug?? All party is wiped anytime this happens and this happens unfortunately very often.

So why is this happening??? How to avoid it??

    Thanks for your help!

    1. Make sure you suspend keyclone when you are writing a macro.
    2. I use to have this problem when I started using keyclone and I believe you HAVE to find the EXACT key that did it. So in the case of spinning around, hit the left or right key again and they will stop. Running? Hit your forward key again and it will stop. You can't stop the spinning by hitting the opposite direction or jumping or whatever. It was quite frustrating until I figured that out and started using my PAUSE key for keyclone when writing macros.

I am confused. This happens when you write macros? or when you activate the macros? Seems odd you would be getting wiped when writing a macro....I mean, do you write macros during a boss fight?!?!? :P

If it's from writing the macro, either suspend/mute Keyclone using pause (as said above) or type them in notepad and copy and paste.

If it's from activating the macro, what key are the macro's bound to? are these keys bound on the slaves as well? If not, you will find that a macro bound to CTRL-W on your main toon will activate "CTRL-W" (if keybound) OR just "W" (if CTRL-W is not bound to a key on the slaves) on your slaves. I had this problem and simply bound the "CTRL-W" or whatever to an empty action button on all my slaves. I think there is another way to do this though, but never bothered since what I did worked fine for me so far.

the spinning around thing is possibly due to having focus follows mouse enabled on keyclone - this is a known issue.

characters running off is usually attributed to autorun being pressed and not properly passed - i just tend to diable it from all my slaves

as for them all going crazy when writing a macro - as long as you are careful ie. type /macro <enter> in the main window it should be duplicated in all other windows and open the macro dailogue box, unless you are not passing some characters to the other windows. i often write macros for all 5 at once in this way (you just have to check that all 5 at at the same stage of the procedure.

This happens when a keypress is passed to a client but the key release was never passed. Caused by having your focus on one client, pressing a key, then changing the focus to a different client before you release the key. The other way this can happen is with modifiers. If you have <ctrl> w as your slaves forward key you need to be consious of the order you press them.
If you press ctrl, then w then release w then release ctrl, your slaves will see this:
    press <ctrl> w
    release <ctrl> w

how ever, if you press ctrl, then press w, then release ctrl then release w your slaves will see this
    press <ctrl> w
    release w

Thus they have not seen the command to release <ctrl> w and are still going to be moving. So what it comes down to is that you need to train yourself to be very consious of your key presses and orders and to which window you have focus. As mikekim said "the spinning around thing is possibly due to having focus follows mouse enabled on keyclone - this is a known issue." This is another thing to keep an eye on for the same reason, the window changes focus and the client never recieves the release command.
