WTF is up with follow in non northrend content?

Not sure what the issue with my following is... but i did the pip thing and i lost follow just as badly or even worse... i would be almost sure that the lead change had nothing to do with it... but it certainly hasn't solved the problem on my end. Let me know if it works for you.

before I left for work I had a few strange things happen. One of my slaves would run off in a random direction and this has never happened before.... and definitely not 3 times! Very weird behavior, luckily it all happened in an instance before I even started pulling. /boggle

Since Wrath launched I noticed the non-Northrend zones being starved of resources. Things will be fine then as population starts to load up in the afternoon the latency on the server side goes wacko. I suspect the resource management that blizz uses places a priority on the new content now. I was using slow flying mounts and would lose follow while cruising in level flight.



Blame it on the blade server management. IMHO

an easy soulution for this problem is to set up PiP and just switch to one of your other chars when you are using crusaders aura. If you let the pally follow, you wont lose the others behind you

OMG why have I never thought of this! It's so simple, it's perfect! I stopped using Crusader as even with ZERO lag and perfect fps I would still lose one every 30 secs or so. Thanks again!

That's the ticket right there - I was having no end of follow issues when trying to /follow my pally using Crusader aura - leading with one of my other toons (especially in laggy areas like AV battles) fixed that right up.

when doing an A/V and running for the far end I used to put the pally in the back.
Normally the pally is my main and everyone follows him but with crusader aura up he would usually leave someone behind.

I fixed this by switching to follow one of the alts leaving the pally in the pack.
if the lead character got too far head he would loose the crusader aura and slow down enough for the alts to catch back up.

then I would switch back to the pally when I got where I was going.
I have a hot key for selecting which character to follow. ( something like F6 to follow the pally, F7 to follow the first alt )

I usually have the follow breaking issue if my ms goes over 80 on any of the chars. Thanks for the idea of having pala on follow though, that will make things much easier

I cant ride faster than 100% with my group. Every time i try to use crusader aura i lose follow after a few hundred meters. Im dreading the day i finally save enough to get 380% mounts as i know im just going to end up using my normal flyers in the end anyway.

Its fun being in australia. (400ms latency is a good day for me)

Also Aussie here. Rarely above 300ms and usually around 220, so I'd get your ISP to check out your connection perhaps. Follow doesn't break for me even when the Pally aura is up, and this is tested with both epic land and flying mounts.

The only problems I encounter are those that everyone is getting in Northrend phased content particularly the higher-end zones.
