WTF is up with follow in non northrend content?

I seem to have my follow broken all the time... sometimes like every 10 sec. It only happens when i am mounted on my fast mounts with my pally speed on them... can follow just not handle the extra movement speed... really hurt me today in pvp

i suspect your latency is to blame.

That's not something I've ever seen happen, so I'm going to have to agree that latency is doing it.

I cant ride faster than 100% with my group. Every time i try to use crusader aura i lose follow after a few hundred meters. Im dreading the day i finally save enough to get 380% mounts as i know im just going to end up using my normal flyers in the end anyway.

Its fun being in australia. (400ms latency is a good day for me)

thanks for the fast reply! If my latency is green and i am still having problems... then does that suggest a problem elsewhere? With my hardware perhaps? With follow on fast mounts? From the posts so far i am guessing follow works just fine on fast mounts. Maybe my interwebz connection is out of wack...

I will test it more but i am pretty sure i get the problem when i am still green on latency.

I will update this as i play some more but it was just breaking with my latency at 255 and my frame rate at 20... i am not sure if those numbers make sense of my follow breaking or not.

EDIT: My follow was more like a huge debuff and i could have probably gotten across the map faster walking... my latency was at 212 and my frame rate was 36.

EDIT: Again more fail follow and it was 122 and 21 for Latency and FR

Magtheridon is full of lag today.. Wintersgrasp is unplayable. Could be the lag or phase zones.

an easy soulution for this problem is to set up PiP and just switch to one of your other chars when you are using crusaders aura. If you let the pally follow, you wont lose the others behind you

FWIW I think some servers have been having issues for a few days or a week now. Burning Legion has MASSIVE loot lag that seems to hit totally random - might only last 10 seconds but its seriosly messed up - sometimes I'll run away from my followers and it takes 10-15 seconds for them to even start moving, then 10 seconds later everything is fine.

OMG why have I never thought of this! It's so simple, it's perfect! I stopped using Crusader as even with ZERO lag and perfect fps I would still lose one every 30 secs or so. Thanks again!
