Flying Mounts!

My girls are now level 77 and finally have their normal flying mounts! Took me a while to get them their mounts bc they were 68 when wrath came out so I took them right into Northrend. Never had the chance to farm gold at 70 and get them their mounts But between training 2 RAF toons and getting ghetto greens to level them with, I was always short lol

Now for the 4k Cold Weather Flying gold grind :thumbdown:

Think you will see the gold coming in easier now as you get close to 80. Once you get cold-weather flying you will get around easier and make that gold back in no time as well. Continued success!

i went to northrend at 68 too, luckily i have droods so all i had to get was my regular flight form training, then just the 1000g for cold weather

now i'm 79 (almost there!) and i have about 7-8k total. and i've given away 4.5k to my roommates/friends :P

Getting 4k for cold weather flying should have been cake...

Leveling my 5 man team only from 77-78 I made 550g per char. Thats a single level, and that didn't include auctioning anything. Just from that 1 level I have around ~600g worth of stuff to auction, so thats ~3350g in 1 level. I estimate from 70-78 I've actually made around ~11-12k gold so far from questing, selling rewards, auctioning gathered stuff, etc.

What may seem easy for some isn't always easy for others. I'm also not doing quests that are currently my level. I've been working on getting the achievements for the lower lvl areas, and my girls are currently questing in Grizzly Hills at 79. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure why I don't have enough money for my Cold Weather Flying yet, but it's probably due to the gear I bought for my pally and the shields/belts I bought for my shammies. Oh, and the rep items I bought for my shammies. Oh, and the repair cost for trying to figure out instances with my DK tank friend. Oh yeah, and of course leveling alts.

Btw Hachoo, sorry if you took my post as "complaining" bc it was not intended as such. I was simply stating that after getting my mounts it was time for the Cold Weather Flying grind lol

Oh I didn't take your post as complaining I was just wondering how you could make it that far without having the money! I see you've spent a lot on gear which a lot of people do. I always wait to spend money on anything after I hit max level and start doing dailies. I did buy an entire cobalt tank set for my DK at 70 but the total cost was about 90g for the whole set and I haven't needed to purchase any other gear for any of my characters yet at 78 - quest rewards (especially dungeon rewards) have been fine.

Yeah, I was still crunching numbers in my head when I went to bed last night trying to figure out how I didn't have the money bc I still should've even with the gear I bought. Then I remembered, I wanted to level my Pally's Eng to 375, and the pattern I needed to get (Field Repair Bot 110g or w/e lol) required a flying mount to get. So I bought that, and then I also remembered buying my boyfriend's flying mount on his priest lol. So at least the numbers finally make sense :P

Congrats to you. When the servers come back up, I'm going to go buy flying skill and mounts for my team that just hit 77 last night. Not sure I have enough for cold weather flying too - may have to rob my level 75 team to benefit the 77s. ;(

I haven't paid any attention to money at all, haven't spent money on anything, haven't sold anything on the AH, just vendored or DEed everything I've gotten - just been trying to level. I don't even know how much gold I have on any of my toons... should be interesting to see if I have enough.
