    Default New Titan Forged items for Wintersgrasp marks

    For 15 wintersgrasp marks you can buy these:

    This can save you some honor. You only get marks of wintersgrasp while defending the base. Also, I get 1fps in the middle of the base during heavy battle. I may just hop in a vehicle someone is driving and ride out the battle instead of waiting to die from 1fps.

    Can you already buy them? O_o?

    Or is it comming with 3.8

    You cannot buy them yet. I expect once s5 starts they will be available.

    The only item on that list that's unique is the spell damage trinket (which is just a mirror of the Sundial). All this gear is the exact same as the hateful gear, except it has +hit/+haste instead of +crit. The helm has better stats and damage than the savage head, just because of purple vs. blue, but again, no crit.

    Seems strange that pvp gear has hit, when we can nearly hit the cap with talents.

    AFAIK, hit is worth much more than haste and crit, point per point, until you hit the cap.

    So you might want to skip some of the +hit talents and get gear like this instead - in the end hopefully having better dps.

    For PVE yes. However, why do you need resilience in PVE?

    Regardless, Elemental Shaman have 17% hit to make up on a raid boss, that's 446 hit to get capped. Every 1% is 26.23 hit. So by not skipping the +hit talent you save yourself 75 hit, no raiding shaman is going to skip that.

    The cap in PVP is 4%, so 105 hit. So, you can either take 3 points out of thundering strikes and put them into the hit talent and get the same benefit and gear for crit, which is more natural than hit. The logic being, hit has a cap, crit does not. It's far easier to talent for things with a cap, than things without. But do what you will, adding hit on gear with resilience is just silly, for maybe, any class but a lock.

    I'm looking more into the fact I dont have to spend any honor for the items. I am a few marks off 15 already so thats one spot I can free up for honor. Doing this will allow me to buy more items with my 75k banked honor instead of wasting a ton of it on a boot.

    Crit immunity, reduction in DoT damage.

    i have been having to gem and enchant to get even a modest amount of hit. I am not raiding though. I just do heroics. Is the hit cap the same for heroic bosses as raid bosses?

    On tpoic...I love the fact that that helm has hit 8)

    Hey Lyonheart,

    Spell hit cap is 17%, minus hit % bonuses for classes if you talent for them. Draenei Shamans with talents can knock 4% and push this down to 13%.

    So the magic number for Ally Shammys is 340ish to hit level 83 raid bosses.

    The number should be much lower for heroics, level 82 mobs only get a 6% debuff, so you really only need a flat 158 to hit the cap. Take talents and heroic presence in and a pack of Ally Shamans only need 2% hit = 53! Kinda crazy?
