Why male models . . . ?
I have 5 (female dwarf) retardins, and have been leveling them from 60-70 getting ready to buy WOTLK when I have 1 team each horde and alliance at 70. They pretty much are becoming one of my favorite teams. I was going to wait and post about them, but seems now is a good time.
First off, why dwarves? Cause the new guys on the block (Deathknights) apparently need diseases to do lotsa damage. I'm not completely sure about that, but its what I heard. So, what do dwarves have to combat this? Of course, stoneform for an additional 8sec immunity in addition to bubble and other things. First the basics of how I run things.
I use seal of command on all characters as most things die too fast for the stacking seals (vengeance, martyr) to do much damage. I use judgement of wisdom on 2 characters for mana regen, and judgement of light on the other 3 for health regen. When everything procs correctly, I get a screen full of "+144health" scrolling combat texts. This is at level 66 with quest reward gear. Usually in 1 out of every 2-4 fights im regenerating about 700-1200 HP just from the light judgements. I will add the hammer of wrath to my castrandom macro later for during pvp, as it uses a bit more mana than I like on my instakills in PVE.
Since Im running 5 pallys, I keep 1 crusader aura on at all times (so I dont have to turn it on when mounted), 1 concentration, 1 devotion, and 2 retribution (different ranks apparently stack). The paladins I chose to spec for blessings all are specced to provide max (except wisdom), and so I use greater blessing of kings/wisdom/might on all my chars.
I have 2 basic macros running. Each macro has a /assist focus/follow focus line in it to keep everyone together. The first macro is a /use trinket then castrandom judgement, crusader strike macro. I use this one against all single targets basically and for mana savings.
The second is for multiple targets, or when the crusader strike is on cooldown. It is /use trinket then castrandom judgement, divine storm.
Alternating macros on a long stretch of pulls will get me to 50% mana in a minute or 2 so its not a huge deal. Adding consecrate, and hammer to the mix makes mana go bye bye pretty quick. My method is to just spam the macro, and run through the target on the main to bring the alts within melee range.
PVP experience - I have killed a few people, most would be combatants (evel skull to me) see 5paladins and take off. memorable ones: At level 62, I killed a 71 ret pally on his mount b4 my hammer of justice wore off. At level 64, I got a 80 fury warrior (2-3 epics) to about 10% before I realised he had a 72 druid healing him. I got the druid, but the warr got my team![]()
When I first started the pallies (after instance boosting, and gifting the main), I thought they sucked. But it was that my weapon skill was so low, I couldn't hit anything. Now I know they are pretty dang good. Maybe better than any other team I have. I'll make comparisons at 70 when I get more people there.

Optimally, melee dps should be behind the target. Attacks made from the front have a chance to be blocked or parried. This reduces the dps output. Also, when the target parries it gets a boost to melee attack speed, which means that the tank takes more damage. Having five guys meleeing from the front means that the target is almost always going to have that bonus to attack speed.Originally Posted by 'suicidesspyder',index.php?page=Thread&postID=1577 54#post157754
Firetree, Alliance.
Adiabat (Prot Pally), Isochor (Holy Priest), Isobar (Frostfire Mage) <Retired at 80 during WotLK>
Corpsebréw, Corpsebrèw, Corpsebrêw (3x Death Knight) <Retired at 80 during WotLK>
Femtotank (Prot Warrior), Femtoheals (Disc Priest), Femtosummons (Demo Lock) <Active, 105>
I use the 'bump' forward method as well. My targets die very quickly. The additional parry from a frontal attack really doesn't come into play while leveling. If I was fighting a raid boss it might matter. Trying to run through your target, stop following, and turning around takes more time and effort than killing the mobs. Using the 'bump' method for melee (and I've also used it for a team of low level druids) is the fastest and easiest method for me. I've got to agree with Suicide. Fast + Easy = Good for Leveling.Originally Posted by 'Vicker',index.php?page=Thread&postID=157904#post1 57904

The only problem I've had with the bump method is when the mob decided to keep aggro on the main, but continues to walk thru them to get behind (think we've all seen it a few times at least) with the run-thru on the main, I just use mouse turn. With a 3.6 speed weapon, theres lots of time to get turned around before the next swing happens, as with the macro I have, the instant attacks happen as I'm initially running thru the target. This also helps the main be in front of the target, while the alts get to be parry-free in back (till 1 crits anyway).

I use 5 paladins, 1 tank 1 heal 3 dps, very hard to have dps kill things because of the fact they are melee, hard to get them to attack all the time.
