My team consists of a hunter main, shadow priest, and resto druid. Priest/shammy are undergeared. Just now getting them to the 1300ish SP range. Hunter is running NAXX 10/25 and vault with the guild and has several nice upgrades. Her 2800ish dps makes up for the shadow priests crappy 1k. My group healing usually consists of chain healing on my shaman and hitting the others with the +1 chain heal glyph. This will hit my tank too. Not the most efficient method though. On bosses where the group takes little damage I'll use a healing stream and just use big heals on the tank.
My Friend plays a druid tank and a holy pally.
I have been trying hard to convince him to either go boomkin and tankadin, or to level his death kanigit.
After a couple of runs HUK has gotten much easier. Adding /target Frost Tomb to my attack macros for the first boss helped a lot. Actually one of my biggest issues there is targetting because I like to tab target. We LOS pull the 4 at the table and then just charge the boss. I will setup our slaves right on top of the boss, just far enough away that the priest will still hit him. My hunter backs up to get to range but on the opposite side of the priest. Priest does enough damage to break me out in a couple of ticks, I break out any other member in about 2 shots. Bunching up makes it easier on the druid tank. I do not dps the adds, they will just respawn, and often end up with positioning issues or hitting the healer a time or two.
Second boss is pretty much tank and spank. Same thing we bunch up for adds. I pretty much just spam chain heal on my shammy and it takes care of us. I try to bring one down to @ 10%, then kill the other, then finish the first. Sometimes I switch too late, but killing the caster first has not caused me any issues. He gets back up and just keeps casting shadow bolts. With resist these are a minimal issue. Again, ignore the adds and aoe them once the boss is down.
Third is the easiest in the run with a dedicated tank. As long as the tank knows how to move back and forth. Pop bloodlust at the beggining of the second phase. Keep earth shield and riptide up on the tank - usually throw one healing wave at the tank and a chain heal on the group in between the stuns. We tank it like a dragon - with the party at the bosses side. Tank just runs through the boss and turns around when he does his big damage hit so the party never has to move. Still no bow though after 5-6 runs
We have most of the gear we need from this one, so it will just be on farm for badges, can't decide what heroic to try next. Everytime I log in the guild wants my hunter for a raid - not that I'm complaining, but I want to gear my team as well.
I think having a shadow resist buff plays a huge part in making this run easier.
