    ok so my parents got me this monitor for christmas(i accidentaly found out when the mailman arrived and wanted me to sign for it)

    so what do you think about it ?

    It's a TN panel while I use a 26" widescreen S-IPS, so I wouldn't want to trade with you. But it's a good enough screen, especially for free.

    I can't tell you anything about that specific model but I have a BenQ G2400W, which is also a TN, and I love it for gaming because it has extremely low input lag. I also like it for looking at text.

    Like all TN monitors, colors look different at the top and bottom of the screen so it's not a good choice for photo editing and things like that, but for the purposes I mentioned, I think it's great.

    BenQ seems to make very good TN monitors and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

    TN panels are characterized by low lag (unless the OEM screws it up) and poor color performance.

    Note that input lag is significantly less of a problem for MMOs than other genres, and that modern panels aren't a binary "TN and crappy color, or good color and high lag" case. Careful shopping can net you both good color, good response, and pricing that isn't out of most budgets.
