ive found that using taunt is a waste of time unless fighting a boss that occasionally drops aggro and runs off to someone else. then ill use it. otherwise ill never use it.

A 30 range taunt does make sense to me. Why would you have to be facing the target to taunt him? I taunt people from thousands of miles away through the internetz

You don't run many 5-mans with normal groups do you? Especially fights like Utgarde Pinacle gauntlet. Vigilance is a godsend there especially when you are constantly getting rooted with no pally in the group. Taunt Taunt Taunt Taunt, TC, win!
