    Default 4 resto shamans in Arena

    Since a lot of folks are having doubts about the shaman teams in Arena, I am thinking what if I use 4 resto shamans in Arena. This is against the idea of bursting down the other team ASAP. But 4 resto shammies chain healing each other plus 4 earth shields should drag the fight long enough to make them quit ? lol. Unless they have 4 mana burns, I'd imagine the 4 resto shamans could survive forever. Plus as far as I can see, resto shammies CAN do damage. Not bursty, but there are steady damage outputs since spell power is a shared stat, from lava burst, chain lightning. Once the opposting team's healers are out of mana, we probably still have 2 mana tide left.

    pre WotLK, I had tons of problems against a 3 healer team in 5 v 5. So I am thinking the same thing. what do you guys think?

    I tried this in season 4. I had 3 brutal elemental pieces, and 2 merciless healing pieces for extra resilience. I was about 500 resi. I also had most of the guardian healing pieces. So it safe to say my gear was allmost maxed out for this

    It didnt work out by a longshot. It sounds fun in theory, but even with resto spec you will be slayed fairly quickly. To heal efficient enough to last a long time requires a lot more micro than you can handle in an arena as a boxer.

    hmm, with the current DPS outrage, it is probably even more difficult for the shamans to survive. I guess I am back at where I started from. Even with lava burst, I am having a hard time bursting down my targets as lava burst has flying time. They don't land at the same time, given the healer some time to react. Not to mention flame shock is a total give away.

    As I see it the only way someone could kill one of the team members is going to say another boxer instant casting because of the fact that if you give those hots more than a sec it means full health again. Rogue because of survivability and the fact that they have no mana to run out of. rogue spec something like this http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fhgbR...0gZI0fdhhkdVzh for max survival and this http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0ebRgMobbZMgVb0bEoMuoxR if you rogue is seeing teams that are not focusing him. I'm not sure this would work out as well or how teams would try to adapt, but I think that as for a boxer healing team this would be most effective.

    On another note this team would be great because of the fact we will soon have dualspec thing coming and you could easily spec boomkin to keep teams guessing. I could see someone pulling this off and making alot of peeps QQ(maby I crazy tho).

    Problem there is, any tree druid can be focused and killed in a blink of an eye. Maybe if all tree druids are independantly played and extremely good at kiting. But impossible to do as a box. :P

    When I was just single boxing my lock I ran a 3 healer 5s team in S3 to ~2200 rating, lock/hunter/rdruid/hpally/dpriest. I can tell you that our survival was dependent on constant use of multiple characters CCing...if one guy dropped the ball for a few seconds vs 4dps you would easily wipe. In the current state of the game, I think you could have 4 guys drumping heals on someone and he could be still be exploded in a few seconds....anyway, If you get that far grats, now to win you actually need to outlast the other teams mana by preventing them from drinking more then your team, they will all split up and CC you as much as possible to get ticks of water in, with 5 players on your team it can be tricky to split up and stop them all...with 1 guy controlling 4 characters? Its just not gunna happen

    P.S. playing outlast comps are pure fail anyway, matches are way too long

    Outlasting setups is something of the most boring ive ever played in wow..

    I resigned my druid after playing warrior/druid vs hunter/druid for 25 mins and thats not even "THAT" bad.
