    Default AOE with keyclone

Ok dont know if this has been posted since i couldnt find it. But all credit goes to rob"keyclone" for this. Im putting this in because ive seen lots of people asking about aoe pulls with no great answer. Ok with keyclone you have this nice little addition called pass map click hotkey. This is found under the general tab. I bound this to my f7 button seemed logical never use it for anything else and i wont accidently click it. Ok in short what this does is my f7 button acts as a pause button. Say on my boomkins i click f7 then click button 7 which is hurricane on all toons. Then i click the ground the mouse will auto jump screen to screen and click the ground ontop of you or whereever you clicked on your main and cause the hurricane to go. One problem is of one screen is bigger then the rest, this causes the mouse click to click a little off your mains screen. But if you have a tank just sit ontop of the tank and aoe everything. Just when your done with the pull dont forget to click the pause button. It seems like alot but after a cpl tries getting used to it, its like second nature.

Hmm, I'm having a bit of trouble making this work the way you've described. How do you map Keyclone settings to specific hotkeys? Do you use the keymap editor function?

No keymap editor i for went that more work then its worth to me atm. Just go to your general tab and look for the option pass mouse click hotkey. Click the box and push whatever button you want as the pause unpause button. Hit apply then ok. Once down load up wows. To test it mae sure all aoes have the macro /cast [target=focustarget]spell on same button. Sorry if it seems like im saying your dumb im not im trying to make this easy enough that even the noobiest of nobbs can go step by step. Ok now hit the button you distinquished as your on off switch which miine is f7. When you click this button next tap your button that corresponds with the aoe spell. When you do that on our main pick the spot where you want the aoe spell to hit click ground let go of mouse. If you are using maximiser you should be able to watch mouse jump from screen to screen and back to main. Once done hit off button again so you dont accidently do it wrong time and mouse jumps. This should work out everything as long as you dont move mouse after you click the spot where you want aoe to hit. Also good way to accept flights click main on guy it jumps and goes thru other screens. On this idea make sure you have the flight master or quest guy on right side.

Nice informative little write-up there, I was always too lazy to look into the mouse passing, but this has been easy. I note that the key used to trigger the hotkey is also passed to the clients, so why not make the primary AOE spell the mouse-click hotkey as well? This would save having to press the cast, then the hotkey.

So min otherwords what your saying using f7 as a reference. Do the /cast macro bind it to an action bar as f7 using that as the on off switch to. So when you want to do that you hit f7 and it clicks it on for all windows so all you do is hit f7 and click ground.

    Awesome!

I just put it to a random key that i dont have sent to the wow windows, all it does is activate mouse click jumping. So, what I do, is activate GTAoE spell (blizzard let's say) then hit the key for mouse clicks, then click, and it clicks in all windows. Then I press the key again to turn it off.

I think the next step is to macro in camera angle movements, so I always send it to the same relative spot. Maybe make the toggle key also a /castsequence or round robin, so it first puts in first person view, then i cast my spell, then i turn off mouse clicks, and it puts it back in standard 3rd person view...

Wow thank you for sharing this. its not ideal that it focuses all the screens but its definitely workable.

I know the OP had good intentions with this thread and ultimately I would like to try this out myself...if I could truly understand what he was saying. I sincerely mean no offense and am not trying to offend you spyder.

Will someone who has utilized his method try to spell out what he was saying. I've tried reading it over and over and I just get a headache.

    Thanks and again my apologies.

    Here is what I did.

Open up your wow clients and keyclone and get them going. Lets pretend im running 2 druids. I am going to bind my hurricane ability to my 1 key for both druids.

Now, go to keyclone setup and go to the general section of setup.

In the middle of the window there is an option that says pass mouse click hotkey. It has a typical keyclone textbox to the right where you can click in the box and choose whatever key you want. This is the key youre going to press when you want to tell keyclone to get ready to pass your click. I set mine, for testing, to the quotation mark on my keyboard ( will likely change it when I use this feature more).

So, I have my pass mouse click hotkey bound to quote and my hurricane ability bound to 1 on both clients. Here is what I do now.

I press my 1 key. This opens up my hurricane targeting reticle on both druids right? Now, I click my quotation mark key. This tells keyclone you're about to pass a mouse click. Then I go to my main window and click like normal, as if i were targetting the spell. It will then go to each client you have open (i think it needs to be visible (i..e no minimized) but i have to double check this) and clicks the mouse on those clients as well, finally cycling back to your first window. So there is a bit of a delay where you will NOT have control of your computer (because its changing focus to each client and clicking).

Lastly, I click my quotation key again to go out of "pass mouse click" mode or whatever you want to call it.

Hope that explains how *I* got it to work at least.
