While still leveling in instances try prot pala + 3 elemental shamans and 1 resto shaman as dedicated healer.
I basically cast blessing of wisdom on all the shamans, have them water shield themselves and drop mana spring totems x 4. My dedicated healer spams LHW on the tank all the time and basically overheals him big time. The good stuff with this setup is that you can start instancing with a lvl 1 geared tank in ramparts without wiping.
I gift leveled my pala tank to 60 and made him go directly ramparts with his lvl 1 gear and he never died. Several runs later he had decent gear to live on his own, so I added a LB spam to the healing macro on my healing shaman, so now he has two healing macros.
Macro 1 --> target tank's target target (usually the tank) cast LHW
Macro 2 --> target tank's target target (usually the tank) cast LHW, Target tank's target cast LB
The resto talents are big difference because you get a small HoT, earth shield and armor increase on LHW crits. The ancestral awakening talent is usually just 30% more healing to the tank, and when some of your toons get damaged by some spellcaster or ranged atacker that the tank didn't aggro on time it will just make sure they get healed automatically without having to worry about that.
Try this build for your healer:

The riptide and NS talents are there only for pvp. You also get 10% talented crit chance. Combined with the elemental shamans Elemental Oath it makes crits happen alot.
I rarely need to use manatide totem, but I think it will be a good addition to my raiding group.
