I did the same thing, I had two teams I AoE ground up using Deadmines --> Stockades --> SM.

Once I hit about 35 in SM I just hated the place so much and wanted to throw it all in and burn out.

I changed servers, changed factions, switched to a totally brand new team (Paladin, 4x Priest) and while its slow going - I am enjoying the game for *right now* VS *omg as soon as i get 70, get some honor, get some arena gear this is going to be SO MUCH FUN*.

While I have a massive 5 days + played and I'm only Level 31 - I am seeing quests I hardly remember from over two years ago and experiencing what its like to not have an epic ice mage/epic pvp warlock and a slew of other characters and support for my multibox team.

And to me, this is the only way I'd do it, makes multiboxing in the right here right now --- fun. I dont feel like my fun is on pause till i reach 70.

I am finding at my level that questing severly > instances unless I have 3 - 5 quests for that instance.

Personally I'm all about the long-term. With this in mind, I'd say questing is better as it generates a huge amount of reputation and there are rewards from Quests.

My 4 alt shaman have nothing more than beginner equip at Lv. 38 now. So far they don't do anything at all, and whenever I start doing runecloth stuff with tailor I'll build them up some equip and buy some random staff until they are high enough for BC and then start questing for new initial items.

And about deadmines, how many alts are you powerleveling? I found out that if you have 1 70 and 1 lower level alt compared to 1 70 and 4 alts, you get alot alot less exp per kill with the group of 2 than 5.

I think the way it works is that since the medium of the group of 5 is lower than the group of 2 is lower they get more exp per kill. I was 1x70 and 4x10-18 in Deadmines and I would get about 50-70% of a level a run. I didn't spend more than a single afternoon in Deadmine.

*edit* Personally, I don't care much about rep from SW, IF, Darn or Exodar (for either if I were horde). At 70 I don't spend time there, even less buy anything and rep for those faction are useless. Although if you meant for TBC, then I totally agree, the items from quest are really worth it until you get to run Lv.70 instance.

    Greetings,

Regarding XP Group Bonus, this thread on WowWiki.
    http://www.wowwiki.com/Formulas:Mob_XP

    Group Bonus :

    [code:1]1 person group = 1.
    2 person group = 1.
    3 person group = 1.166.
    4 person group = 1.3.
    5 person group = 1.4.
    [/code:1]

There's also a part about XP gained when powerleveled by a lvl 70 but it's un-grouped.

Make sense, I remember back in the day I was leveling a new priest with my 60 warrior in Deadmine, and I would always invite other low level because I was getting more exp that way, regardless being more people in the instance. I didnt loot anything so people were really happy with that. ^^

    Ahem...

    HOW DARE YE!

I love my Priest Once my homies get up past 60 I will switch out my druid for my Priest. For a 5 box group, I don't see how anything can surpass a Fortitude + Prayer/Circle of Healing.

But of course, blessings our nice too.... 0/49/12 Protection Paladin tank haha!

and to get on topic again.

I have 2 lvl 70 mages, and 1 lvl 46 priest, and i decided to add 2 more. so i picked a pally (tankadin/ offheal) and a Warlock (soulstone, healthstones, offtanking).
To get them to a high lvl fast i powerleveled them.
    horde btw)
    1-10-ish questing
    10-15 RFC
    15-20 SFK
20-41 SM Cath <--- about 80 runs with 3 characters so i get a little group bonus)
41-46 ZF <-- this is where i am now, getting close to 40K xp per full run, but it takes 40-ish minutes, not very effective boost imo but i dont know another place.

My mage is karazhan geared, Full T4, arcane specc for increased Arcane Explosion dmg. a little over 1K spelldmg.
This week ill add my 2nd mage to the group and my priest.
2nd mage is Kara+ geared (SSC, TK etc) which means boosting wont be an issue till about lvl 63-65.

I think that boosting gets you to the highest lvl asap, and then at some point you really need to start playing them all, and then you can learn to finetune it aswell.
Also lower level instances have a different difficulty level then at higher level, so yes, at lower level you can learn the basics, but to really learn about the game mechanics and how to optimally use them, you really need to be lvl 60+ imo.
also i think that having enough raiding experience helps alot with this, as then the only thing you need to learn is how to play the chars simultaniously as you know how the game works.

    my 2 cents
    The Venture Co - EU
Team TnT: Theanara, Theonara, Theara, Theao and AranoehT. (lvl 66)
    Al'Akir - EU
Team TnT: Theora, Theanara, Theonara, Theao and AranoehT. (lvl 12)
