I have only played it on my solo DK so far. And i must say that you have found alot of intresting issues reguarding this BG. I was thinking that haveing a boxer would be nice if it was working in the optimal way. But all the problems you now describe is kinda riping my idea apart.

But in a perfect battle with a boxer i whould guess it would work somthing like this.

Attack:

The non boxers directly grap tanks and bombs and start pushing.
The boxer keep strand clear of any hords runing around trying to kill tanks.

When the gates get destroy. We would mount and rush in and kill all inside and camp the GY flag, While the non boxers continue geting more tanks and pushing next gates..

So.. as a boxer i think we will have to chill back alittle.. Try to get our team regruped and stay out of range of the cannons untill the wall is breaged.

Defence:

Soloers, get cannons. PEW PEW.

Boxer run down on beach and w8 for the boat to come in.. Kill all on it.. then run over to the other boat where their attack will have started... you then come up in their back so you should be able to nuke down the tanks kind afast.

From that point on i dont have any ideas on how it would work reguarding the aoeing etc from tanks and players vs us. But atleast try to run in on the tanks backs and nuke them down.

And in the end if they destroy all the walls untill the final gate. Then basicly camp that area. Normaly they will use less tanks and more bombs at this time and as a boxer we should be able to shot down any inc players before they manage to lay a bomb down. If any tanks should arrive.. then i guess we would have to directly mount up and run in a half circle and get in on its side and nuke it down... Gate will take some damage from the tank i assume...

But keep posting on it. My team is on 73 atm and i'm having a hard and slow time lvling up.. But i thought i would stop at 79 and make me 100 Strand marks. So i can awoid it on 80 unless i want to play it for fun.
