Thread: First try at UK

    Default First try at UK

FInally got my 4x Shamies up to 69 and headed to UK with my 70 prot pally(w/epic healing gear). Man, it was not pretty....after wiping a couple of times and trying to figure out the healing situation, I called it quits. I just couldnt handle the 4 mobs at the table near Prince. I found that the majority of the time...I was just trying to keep the pally up...and therefore hardly doing any damage. All shammies are Elemental....I tried the 1 healer approach.....then 2 healer/dps - 2 dps.......then basicly all healing/dps. Pally easily was keeping aggro...but problem was that I was just taking too much damage...therefore having to spam heals almost 50% of the time.

Anyone else around the same lvl have success in UK? And how is your team setup?

I'd say wait a few levels and gather the first greens/blues in the start areas, then you'll be a little better prepared .. and shouldn't have any troubles

Yes another level or two will help - but is the pally specced holy? Respec pally prot and get some tanking gear (Cobalt tanking set at 70 is freakin' awesome for all 3 plate tanking classes from what i hear - its pretty much all str/stam/def which are the primary tanking stats now). Then you should be able to own the instance. I finished it at 70x5 with a DK/4 shamans with mediocre gear - with the cobalt set on my DK he was hardly taking any damage on trash

With my 5 ele shamans at lvl 70 with a couple epics i got before the expansion came out, i cleared UK except for the last boss.

The trick to killing that group before the prince (what worked for me anyway, at least without a tank) was killing as many of them as possible on the pull, and using thunderstorm to get some distance again after they were all up close and had started hitting me.
I'm going to live forever, or die trying.

I have an almost full set of Cobalt armor on my paladin..and I'm still getting smashed pretty hard even at 71 on the trash mobs. :S
