    Default The multi-boxing blues.

    Hello everyone.
If you take the time to check this thread out, I’m looking for some peer support in my time of need (lol).
I rolled my shaman team after RAF came out. I already had a Paladin for tanking, so four more shamans was a no brainer. My main goal with this was for PvP, I guess you could say I was an Ellay wannabe =).

I hit 70 just a few weeks before WotLK came out, I rolled some BGs to get my weapon and shield, then finished all my outlands quests to get my epic flying mounts. I purchased my mounts the day before WotLK rolled out.

But now, I find myself dragging threw content. I feel so burnt out on leveling. I rolled to 71 and 72 fairly quickly, but then just hit a wall. I hate that my guys are not 80 yet, I want to be at the front of the PvP curve, but I hate to play them just to level. It feels more like a Job than a game. So, now I sit at 74 and find myself single boxing some alts for fun.

Anyone else find themselves in this situation? What do you do to work it out?

Oh, and so you know, I quest and run instances to try and mix things up.

My group is at 73 at the moment and I find the levelling extremely boring and repetitive. It's quite off-putting. I'm not stopping just yet, it's just that I'm not having the fun that I used to have like doing raids or battlegrounds or world PvP.

Only a few more levels to go until you cap out and its back to PvP / raiding etc!

I rolled my newest team the week before Wrath release. I hit 1-70 in less than 4 days real life. I am now 76 and found a wall due to my hatred of collecting drop quests. I ran out of questing in Zul'drak at 75.2 and cannot move on til 76. I am not stopping though nor am I discouraged. I'm going back through all the zones realizing I only did 15 quests in Dragonblight (lol?) before moving on so back to that zone I go with 2 chars at 76 and 3 at 75.2. I hit 76 on my tank / healer helping my r/l friends get through a few instances as they are all dps classes.

What's stopping you guys from PvPing at all now to break up the grind? Ya your not 80 but I assume the classic BG's are still there? Theres pry a 70-79 bracket right? Go kill people.

    Or:
    Level professions
Use some rest on a 60 team so It starts building more
    Go outside
Sit in front of wowhead and plan your quest routes/instance choices/rep grinds/gear lists for 80

Do what you gotta do, but if this game is starting to feel like a job then remind yourself; You don't sit at work whining on the forums that you have to work to succeed at your job. BUST YOUR ASS and get 'r done!

Something that I keep in my mind is that I won't "be able" to level these characters for probably another 2 years when they raise the level cap again. While it's not exactly the same since your characters were fresh to 70 before Wrath came out, it hopefully transcends the timeframe a little bit. It's really fun to do quests on my main(s) for more than just to make gold, do dailies, do random obscure quests for quest rewards, etc.

70 to 80 is not a walk in the park. Even when BC came out, I was still able to get 2+ lvl's a day on my schedule. With Wrath, I'm lucky to get a full level. I actually have no problems with that, I would love to have an Asheron's Call style of leveling where you really don't have a level cap, but once you hit a certain level you are able to do the highest end content.

1x80 Pally / 4x80 Shammy - Rebeckah, Manafont, Azurelore, Wildcard, Spiritsurge
Heroics Cleared: Gundrak, Nexus, Utgarde Keep, Azjul Nerub, Utgarde Pinacle, Culling of Stratholme(+timed), Violet Hold, Zul'drak
Remaining: Halls of Lightning, Halls of Stone, Occulus, Old Kingdom

A group of level 73 characters in green PvP gear(ok, with a bit of blue) versus level 80 characters in epic gear? Hah! I think not!

    Or:
    Level professions
Use some rest on a 60 team so It starts building more
The professions that matter are already at the level where I can't use the items that it produces because I'm too high level. Plus, you need lots of gold to do that unless you want to farm all the sources yourself(boring). Normally you can do some dailies to get gold for buying these resources, but after the level cap got raised, those dailies don't bring in much money anymore.

    Go outside
    First reasonable proposition :P

Sit in front of wowhead and plan your quest routes/instance choices/rep grinds/gear lists for 80
    Meh, too boring :P

Exactly! That's why I'm not giving up just yet ;P

As a sidenote: I didn't even notice that one of my characters dinged 73 yesterday. I only realized it when someone whispered "congrats!" to me xD

Hmm, I had parts in Dragonblight and Grizzly Hills where I had trouble leveling. But I bit through Dragonblight, Grizzle was too much though.

Then I went to Basin when I was 77, and let me tell you something. Basin starts with 2 or so crappy quests at nesingwary right? Well, after that, it's basicly all awesome quests! The frenzyheart/oracle quests are seriously fun to do as well. A good full level and I dunno, maybe 20% of a second level for all quests here.

Storm Peaks also has a fun questline starting in K3 saving goblins. Totally wort doing just for the storyline. (I think this might be like, A good level worth of quests, none too annoying. Some here and there that are annoying but not dominatingly annoying. )

And Ice Crown has some cool quests I think starting on the zeppelin, which asks you to talk to some ebon hold guy near the vault in the north. Also a somewhat crappy first quest, but worth doing long and fun questline afterwards, with a nice blue spellpower shield on the last quest. (prolly 80ish% of a level for this line)

Anyhow, don't give up! 10 hours per level should be easily reachable, that's not that much. Bite through the boring spots.

Missery loves company is what my wife says.

I'm really irritated with the many collection quests. I seem to remember a dev video interview where it seemed they were going to limit the collection quests and now that I'm playing Wrath it's damn collection quest after collection quest. I wanted the achievements so I was taking my time to do them but now I'm starting to just leave some of them until after I can fly again. Blizzard really needs to fix this by (1) making quest items drop for all members in a party and (2) all lootable world nodes lootable by every party member or just fit kill quests into the storyline instead of collecting bullshit all the time. On the upside the new collection method like the pilot's insignia is better than a straight loot item. I could ride around on my mount and pick them up.

Flying...yeah that's another bullshit aspect of wrath. I was all in favor of experiencing content but now I'm so sick of not having my flyers I've switched my opinion, it was a bad idea to not let us fly from the get go even if it cost us 2k at 70 but free as a quest at 77.

Third is the retarded vehicle system.

Fourth is the poo quests. It was funny the first couple of times but did we really need more in Wrath? ENOUGH POO QUESTS BLIZZARD! ENOUGH! It's dumb already.

Collection quests are out of hand is my only complaint. I get sucked into doing them and then find I wasted my night. Oh well. We're going to be 80 for a long time to come, so once it's over that's it. Try some other zones, too. Just drop all your quests and move on to some harder zone. Zul-Drak is an AWESOME zone. I feel like I'm playing Resident Evil WoW Edition in there. I love it.
