New computer woes - crashing

Well, this is typical, I finally get my new rig to start 5 boxing with and it's playing up.

After an hour or so of playing, the PC is crashing to reset, the fans go crazy and there's a mild smell like TCP coming out the back as the fans work hard. Naturally I shut the power off and 5 minutes later, restart, the fans run normally (ie very lightly) and Vista boots.

Getting 3 beeps as well from the reset - if my memory serves me correctly this is a video card issue isn't it? Perhaps overheating and not getting the fan.

Rather than going through the bloody rigmarole of getting this collected, taking a day off work and then taking another day off work for re-delivery, is there anything I can do to rectify this myself or am I at the mercy of the supplier?

Check temperature of the Gcard after cleaning fans and fins.

ALso lately any time the game sound is on I expercience crashing and rebooting every 15 min,
so try turning off all sound in game. good luck

Crashing this week has almost put the breaks on my raf leveling.
