Updating your BIOS and motherboard chipset drivers probably wouldn't hurt either.

Note that you have given us inadequate data to say much - for starters, you've said nothing about your resolution or other settings you're trying to run the game at, nor where you're at that you're getting 20FPS (e.g. 20FPS in Dalaran is pretty high). And you told us that your "DX Setup Parameters" weren't found - but not even what version of Windows this is on, or that much about the computer's specifications. Yeah...if you knew which bits were important, you'd know the answer already...but we probably need more than just that. It's hard to give suggestions beyond the generic "update your drivers, why haven't you updated your drivers yet" response with so little to go on.

well..as i stated above..i have running 8gigs of ram..so has to be vista 64...even in out in northerend..i am only getting 20-30fps..20 in any city...but 8 gigs of ram...quad processor,( which is up to date, along with bios) Gt9800 OC vid card...i should be running at full fps..no matter where i am outside of a city...i have always 4 boxed, was hoping to 5 box..but...a

as far as directx 10 parameters not found..might be the issue...but it came installed with the pc...so fixing it idk...

Dual boot into XP or Vista 32 and check out that theory. It is possible that you have a driver that is not optimized for x64.

God AMD should be sued for this. The 9X00 series processors are absolute shit, if you want a good phenom system it MUST be a 9X50 series processor. I have a 9600 and without serious technical hacking it runs like poop. To top it off you are most likely running a pre-built system if it came with a 9500 in it, which means it's loaded with shit software as well thats choking it up.

FOUND IT! <== That is a link to the TLB Disable tool. It will fix your AMD 9X00 cpu so it runs at full speed. Please note this isn't a one time fix, every time you reboot, you have to refix.

WoW .. dude. Tell us what you really think!

I am reading that AMD's quad-core Phenom should perform somewhere in the vicinity of Intel Core 2 Qual Processors of the same clock speed, except they are cheaper.

This is an accurate statement for any of the AMD Phenoms that are 9X50 model numbers. It also applies to the 9X00 model numbers when you disable teh TLB Eratta. The TLB Eratta is a bug in the processors architecture that instead of fixing properly AMD simply decided to patch over by disabling the feature. The end result is a loss of 20-50% of the performance of the chip.
