I use Carbonite, mainly as a quest helper and map/gatherer replacement, but it also replaces the mini-map with a map that you can resize simply by dragging the borders.

Not as lightweight as the other solutions above if all you want is a bigger mini-map, but if you want its other features I'd highly recommend it.

I recently switched over to Mappy per Fursphere's post a few threads up. Nice thing about it is, that it is easily stretched to a new size and you can tell the nodes to "blink" when you're near one.

wow ace is done, ill take a look at other addon sites after i get back home.

the problem with carbonite is that it is a huge memory hog. It is extremly handy but quest helper does pretty much the same thing for a little less memory.
I use quest helper for multiboxing and carbonite for single. theyre both super.

note to self: Check out chinchilla and mappy when back home. :end note

I find that mappy doesnt increase the node icon size, you can make it flash however, but I would prefer the larger node icon size

    Will keep looking
