excellent list, however I think it's easy to just say "Pick the best item from your quests that you are doing and then use stormhide at 78, because who doesnt level leatherworking and you should have enough leather by now." :thumbsup:

If all you wear is stormhide you wont have much crit and no haste. I am pretty sure its just spell and mp5 with resilience. There are lots of great quest blues that you can get on your entire team. Dont waste mats on stormhide because the blue honor/arena set will be easy to get. I would spend the mats on Revenant's Set, and the Nightshock helm and belt.

Haste is a double-edged sword for shamans. I would rather take spell power first, hit, then crit and lastly haste. Also Im not "wasting" mats. This is leather that would otherwise be useless to my leatherworkers, unless you mean selling it on the AH. I would rather my team have some resilience than be super squishy.

Haste is a complex stat. Due to the fact that the highest damage spell, Lava Burst, is on an 8 second cooldown, adding an extra spell into that cooldown time has the potiential to push the LvB use back, wasting time and decreasing overall DPS. The trick here is to make sure that as little time as possible is wasted on using Lava Burst.

There are many spots in haste rating total where you actually get LESS dps. I couldn't find the stat comparison values on elitistjerks, but last time I looked haste was not terribly important compared to the other stats.

I have read similar things on ElitistJerks. With the +hit nerf to ToW, hit has become something that multiboxing shaman teams (and single boxing elemental shamans) will have to consider as a priority.
