Thread: mouse clicks

    Default mouse clicks

Okay so I'm dual boxing two mages and I'd like to be able to quest with both of them but I don't like having to switch between screens to pick up quests and quest items, etc.

So is there any way to make Keyclone pick up mouse movement and mouse clicks?

    How can I do this?

you can set the mouse-click-passing hotkey under keyclone/setup/general.

toggle it on... click... watch as the mouse clicks all windows... then toggle it off when you are done.

the click is passed on the mouse-up

you can also get Jamba or other multiboxin addons that will do some of these things for you. clicking on NPCs will have to be done manually, but going through quest dialog and selecting quest rewards can be mostly automated.

Okay, well that created a couple of problems. Is there any way to stop it from momentarily switching WoW windows when I click? Or does it have to do this? Also, now that I have the pass mouse thing on, I can't move without it also switching windows. So do I have to switch it on and off if I want it to pass clicks without interrupting my gameplay when passing clicks isn't necessary?

Also, what does the 'focus follows mouse' option do?

    Thanks

the intention is for you to toggle the mouse-click-passing on... click... then toggle it off.

it is not intended, nor recommended, to try and play while passing mouse clicks. that just won't work for numerous reasons.

as for focus-follows-mouse ... uncheck it and see. with it off, you will need to first click the wow window, then click again to loot. with it on, you mouse over and click once to loot (as the focus was forced to the new wow window as you moused over it)

Thanks for the explanation. The service is incredible.

Also, do most of you just keep one window overlapping the other, or downsize them on one monitor to fit them both side by side (if you use one monitor and one computer)

With the focus follows mouse option it would seem most effective to fit them both side by side rather than overlap them as I currently do.

i would imagine most people use keyclone's built-in maximizer to layout their wows. no overlapping required. keyclone also helps get the most out of your hardware by allowing you to set your fps per wow (under keyclone/setup/command editor)

here's a sample of a 4 wow layout on one screen:

or 5 wows across 2 screens...

there are many possibilities. check out the sample maximizer layouts on the main keyclone site (link )

and of course, if you're still a bit fuzzy... just drop me a PM and i'll see what i can do for you.

For those not using KeyClone you can set the maxfps and maxfpsbk in game...

    /console maxfps 30
    /console maxfpsbk 15

Pick your numbers, I used to have to run 28/10 but nowdays I'm running 40/20 and find my follow distance is MUCH tighter for it.
