Default Control Questions - How to broadcast Wireless... if possible

    Hi Guys,

Firstly i've been 5 boxing on my locks / shamies for over a yr now, using keyclone.

I want to setup a hardware box for 2 boomkins.

I have 2 awesome pcs which will run each wow copy with Boom 1 and Boom 2

My plan was to broadcast 1 wireless keyboard/mouse to both pcs so they are perfectly in sync. This possible? And if not whats the next best solution.

Ive spent alot of time reading through threads and faq but cant find the answers i need, so if this has been addressed already can u please provide the link to the thread.

    Thanks

If I am reading your post correctly, you want to connect the wireless keyboard and mouse to two computers at the same time, therefore replicating mouse and keypresses across both PCs without the aid of keyclone-like software or additional hardware?

Assuming that is what you mean:

Wireless keyboards/mice contain only one radio transmitter/receiver each so can communicate with only one computer at a time. they are incapable of broadcasting for obvious reasons (wireless keylogging!)

Your cheapest option is to use keyclone to broadcast keypresses between the two PCs. If you check the software section there is a ton of info on how to do this.

Yes u understand my question thanks, but using keyclone means i have keystroke delays, making me have to use /follow macros.

I want to avoid these macros.

What other options do i have?

Wow... this post is so full of crap I don't know where to begin... Wireless keyboards are commonly used for this application, buy two of the same model, you can sync one keyboard to more than one receiver. Traditionally you need more than one keyboard connected to each machine for this type of setup to work... see below for why.

What you are saying is you want to press W and have both toons walk forward, this works for about 10-15 feet, you turn, it gets worse, bump into something, even worse, pretty soon you have two toons pointed entirely different ways. Even hardware boxers use follow macro's, it's why I always say if Blizzard wanted to KILL multiboxing in a single change, they would remove /follow because it instantly becomes impossible to compete.

I see so there is no way evan with hardware boxing to remove the delay when operating more than 1 box.

I thought it may of been possible via multiplexing a wireless keyboard/mouse to have 2 copies of wow to run identically. As in after running around, turning, killing mobs, the two chars will be identically facing, and in same position from which they started.

If not then i may as well keep using 1 cpu and using keyclone.

I have tried this on two logitech devices, one BT and one proprietary radio and neither would transmit to both at the same time. Please don't trash my suggestions because you have a different opinion or experience, it's rude.

I'm interested to see some references where you have seen this 'commonly used' as i have a situation where it would be very useful.

Take any two identical wireless keyboards and you plug in a receiver on each computer, throw all but one keyboard in a drawer, no batteries, sync the one keyboard. They have to be identical, same make/model, I would even suggest the same generation of hardware. A logitech MX234897234 purchased last year isn't necessarily the same as the same model purchased this year, but that fact won't be patently obvious in packaging.

That'll be my problem then - two different keyboard, however receivers appear to look the same. Thanks for the info

I used this technique to multibox 4 computers with one keyboard for more than a year when I played DAoC. A good friend of mine in my DAoC guild used this technique the entire time he played DAoC with a full party. The best way to go about doing this is to purchase a wireless (NOT Bluetooth) keyboard and reciever then contact the vendor of that keyboard and purchase additional recievers. You then simply hit the sync button on all the recievers for each computer and then the sync button on the keyboard and you will be sending input to all the computers at one time. It is very reliable and works perfectly. You just have to customize the keybindings manually in the game to ignore keystrokes.
