Default ZD zone and betrayal questline

For a multiboxer this zone is one of nightmares. There must be a work around for it. The collection quests at every hub and the length of time it takes to just gain 20xp is ridiculous. Any others experiencing this issue? It has me actually dropping down to my rogue/priest instead of warrior/rogue/priest as I can't stand the amount of time it is taking to quest in this zone or even the xpack as a whole. Yes I am an end game raider more than anything so my patience with quest grinding isn't great.

I did the quest line where you end up killing the troll. It was pretty fun and worth the time. It actually starts with you catching a troll in a cage while questing in grizzly hills. That troll ends up being the one you kill working with the ebon blade. I didnt finish the first part because of the collections. The second part was ok with ebon. When you get the point of controling the patchwork guys just set your team to the side and use 1 patchwork guy to blow up as many trolls as possible. What I did was let people gather up a bunch of trolls then send my guy over and explode them all to get credit. If nobody is gathering them up just have your guy attack a bunch to get a swarm for the explosion.

Also be sure to put the necklace thing that changes you to scourge on a keybind for all your guys. It wears off and you have to activate it again. Mine was bound to ctrl 7. The collection quest in this game makes me mad. This really hurts multiboxers. For solo people its not bad at all.

Yes, the collection quests are unreal. As a result, I will abandon my 3 box team once they are all 77-78 and just go with my main(Rogue) and holy priest to finish out to 80 then come back and have them help out the warrior solo quest the rest at some point in time in the future. If I don't do this I won't be able to raid with my guild on any toon. (we almost have enough 80s to raid at least 10 man nax) Seriously tough xpack for grouping or multi-boxers due to these collection quests + 20 ppl at any given time trying to get the same items. I've not been this frusterated with an MMO ever as a result.

Yeah I get pretty upset myself.. One thing that helps me calm down is this.... I am leveling 5 characters to 80 while these solo guys only have 1. So they may beat me to 80 but I have 5 to their 1. It doesnt really mean much but its a thought.

I went from my 3 man team to dual boxing last night and had a much easier go of it. The collection quests were more manageable and I even ran my priest through a few instances alone with a group. I'll have to come back eventually and just level up my 76 warrior once my rogue and priest get 80 I suppose.

I decided I wouldn't give up and ground my way through it, when I reached the stage where I had to feed those goddamn basilisks those bastards rats, 5 each, for one scale, when I needed to damn many, I ended up just getting drunk and not recalling the hours I spent picking up rats, tossing em at basilisks, picking up more rats, tossing em etc.

    Horrific zone. Just plain painfull.

This is the area where the expansion fails imo. Collecting X amount of bat droppings or feeding rats to lizards for a collection is not anyone's idea of fun gaming is it? BC had its share of collection quests, but few were as stupid or time consuming and pointless as some I've found in this xpack. This imo was one of their methods to slow down aspects of the leveling process for some. It definately doesn't promote grouping or multi-boxing.

They want you to do quests that do not promote grouping, but at the end of it make it so you have to find a group to kill x elite boss. I guess that's their idea of variety and making it good for both solo and group oriented players.

Not to mention my priest gets stuck on the terrain all of the time. So much sticking out makes it challenging to navigate sometimes compared to big grassy fields!
