45 second cooldown. 5 normally is overkill for a pull of similar level mobs, definitely overkill if you drop nova totems too (which you can drop 25 since their cooldown is reasonably short)... (*BLINK* 25 nova totems is a lot of boom)... so as long as you aren't doing more than 1 pull per 10 seconds or so you should be fine to AE.

I kill mobs, not go from point A to point B for some pointless reason.

What's stopping you guys from PvPing at all now to break up the grind? Ya your not 80 but I assume the classic BG's are still there? Theres pry a 70-79 bracket right? Go kill people.
    [...]
A group of level 73 characters in green PvP gear(ok, with a bit of blue) versus level 80 characters in epic gear? Hah! I think not!
Ok I assumed a lvl 70-79 bracket as I said. Not only that but your going to be geared like $#!+ til the second you hit 80 for PvP providing you buy the crafted PvP set at 80 otherwise have fun doing PvP gear grind for your first set while still geared bad. Also, S2-S4 PvP gear still > quest gear if your PvPing
    Go outside
    First reasonable proposition :P

Sit in front of wowhead and plan your quest routes/instance choices/rep grinds/gear lists for 80
    Meh, too boring :P
I'm seeing a theme here..... maybe you should find something else to occupy your time until the next PTR patch session that allows premade lvl 80 toons

Yup, same boat here. Thankfully my kids started playing and they really kinda turned it around. Only, they won't be here this long weekend, but my good 'ol job stepped up and I may not have to worry about free time over thanksgiving, so /meh

I havent played at all for 3-4 days due to visiting family, I got a free few hours today (everyones out shopping, lol) and I can't find any interest at all in playing logged in, don't really feel like doing anything except browse the auction house. Especially when I see how many people are now 80 and in full super gear, meanwhile my team is at 75 and at least 2 weeks from 80 probably meh, might be time to give up wow again for a while.

I have the blues atm as well, mainly due to my hard drive exploding and losing 900gb worth of tv/movies... little off topic but what the hell :P

Back on topic, I'm still having loads of fun but I find myself spending more fragmented time on wow instead of large chunks of time. With 11 million players I can safely go with the 'WoW will be there when I get back mentality' :P at the moment I'm only 74 (5 off 75) but pvp is great and questings more fun than BC was for me so its all good

The one thing I have noticed is I'm in less of a hurry to level and I'm enjoying the process more than I did in BC. Not sure about PreBC cause I can't remember that far back

I'm almost 78 and actually, those collection quests arent that bad. Yes, sometimes, im done with them, but then I hope I get some easy quests after them. Most of the time that is the case, before I get yet another collection quest :P

I do want to level abit "fast" cause I want to PvP again and experience content on level 80. Else I would play for like an hour or 2 a day and get 80 the relaxed way.

Not doing the collection quests only sucks more, cause then you will find yourself trying to clear an instance for crap experience and wiping alot ( in my case atleast with 4 shamans and 1 healer :P )

I tried instancing ones in UK and never did an instance again :P I will save that for level 80.

My advice: just go on doing the quests and suck it up! You will be happy with the result when you are 80!

No! Going back to the everlasting grind that was Asheron's Call or the early days of EverQuest would be crazy now. I used to keep track of my hours per level in AC. I quit at 89 and it was in the hundreds of hours per level. I know they made the game easier three years in, but that was after i left. Can you imagine the complaining if they did that?

Ding 89! you have killed your 7 millionth tusker, only 40 more levels to go. << no thanks

I actually have no problems with that, I would love to have an Asheron's Call style of leveling where you really don't have a level cap, but once you hit a certain level you are able to do the highest end content.
