Has anyone got any tips for the Halls of Stone rock boss? He's the one thats kind of like gruul. I managed to do it in regular by letting one of my guys die (lol), but in heroic they basically all die in the first stone. Anyone found a good spot where you can spread out and wedge in so when he does his "throw" everyone doesnt bunch up together? Thats really the killer, I think you have to keep everyone 20 (30?) yards apart which is difficult to do after a throw.
Found a nice trick for that boss. Kill maiden first (order of bosses don't matter), position all but tank in the wedges in her room (there are 4), pull the boss and jump down after him, then you have some minutes (yes, really) to run into maidens room and fight there.

Also I really hate Utgarde Pinnacle, the first 2 bosses aren't too bad but Skadi is just a pita, and then the king is even worse (for me). I managed to kill him once, but usually wipe an insane amount of times on him. Just that one boat that lets him summon orbs sucks, I try to run away but it usually catches one of my shamans or my tank, and then of course if you don't immediately purge bane thats a quick wipe too. Feels like a crazy hard version of DDR
For the last boss use a PvP trinket when he goes to the boat with the orbs, you can snap out of the stun and dps him down so he never even pops the orbs or if he does they'll vanish anyways since his hp dropped so fast.

Thats a great idea, thanks! Will do that today. For those (like me) who don't want to spend honor points on the 80 resil trinket, you can get a free 5 min trinket in Hellfire Peninsula by doing the capture-3-towers quest.

    Instance: Naxx 25, Thaddius
    Box: Four elemental shamans
Gear level: 2t7 1-2(depending on the shaman)7.5, one blue trinket and helm.
Difficulty: hard, takes a good group
Guide: Ok first off, I'm assuming you know the basics of the fight. So this is the worst fight in 25(and in 10 for me) naxx, everything else is VERY simple, most people should be able to do it if they are dps boxing or dps/heal boxing.

Charges: I set up auto run buttons for my shamans who would be running charges during the fight. If you can afford not to do charges, it's easy but doing one or two isn't a big deal. So I mapped auto run buttons to my keypad so when a charge hits I check my buffs and just tap auto ru. Bing! and your clone goes running and you just wrangle them around with your mouse. Try only pulling on in at a time, not all trying to do the charges on the first shift, wait two or three to pull in a clone.

Jumping: So jumping is a problem for allot of people. Find your self an unholy DK pal or buy some swiftness potions it'll take some stress off. While fighting one of the adds I take the time to set each of my shamans on the edge so all they have to do is turn, and jump. It cuts down on time and you can blame the other dps on your side for being awful if your raid gets mad :P

Places to stand: I kept all of my shamans in on the fight although I found it to be hard to do all four with charges AND hit the dps needed. Lucky for me I could hit the dps needed with out charges. So I had two of my shamans sit a little back and nuke. One sat on the edge of the add platform, you just creep, and cast away, no one will hit you. The other one I kept closer to the raid in case some one died so I could take there place doing charges. Just about where you land from jumping does the trick fine! Helps with not having to think to much when setting up for the first charges.

Well for me, doing 3 charges was my max, four and I barely dpsed above a tank, and gave me a nasty migraine to boot. But it wasn't too hard on my raid to have all four of me in there, plus I'm a blessing on Lothab and Sap : ) chain heal explode ftw!

I'd tos my 10 man strat up here too, although it hasn't been working as well... still need this guy down to go clear 10 Q.Q
Hardware multiboxing, and looking good while doing it.

For ten man Thaddius, just have the whole raid spread out, minimum ten yards. Don't bother doing charges. It's not worth it in ten man.

Standing still doing constant dps is more then enough, I kill thaddius this way with 2-3 mins left before he goes enrage, easily.

Also get shocking achievement and easy loot. Thaddius isn't a prob in 10 man whatsoever.

For 25 I do charges myself with all shammies. I have the face the back wall, plus strafe left, minus strafe right. And then when one changes, big debuff on ui to see who changed, and strafe to the other side having 8 keys for inividual strafe left and right on all my shammies.

Two change, i can strafe instantly with those two, etc. This way, i benefit from the charges and it's fairly easy. Took me one go to get comfortable with the keys though, but becomes easy before you know it.

Little note on grobbulus. As long as you keep dps high, it's an easy fight. I thought the rate injections come was hp based, but it's not, it's time based. Open up with bloodlust and high dps. Keep positioning relatively close to be in dps range as much as possible, nuke nuke nuke, run out the shammy that gets injection, cleanse it asap when out of range and run it back. Rinse and repeat while keeping dps up high and you should have no problem there either.

I've been doing Drak'Tharon Keep (H) today and Novos gave me a really hard time. That was my third run and even I did not wipe a single time on my first two ones he bascillay annihalted me a few times today.
Anyway I tried different positions and found a way to reduce the number of mobs that get spawned by a wide margin.

I positioned my DPS and my healer in the spider room before his room and started the fight with my tank and then stayed in the corridor, still in los of my healer and DPS group.

What happened now was, that the crystal handler spawned really quickly and I had not to go through all the trash even they get killed quickly.

I think I only got one of those big guys and then just those four crystal handlers.

He still spawns the adds when the shield is down but it made the fight a bit easier for me.

If you just want to reduce adds, check my video of DTK heroic boss fights:

    http://www.vonderbecke.net/files/wow...DTK-Bosses.wmv

Where I position myself he doesn't spawn any mobs at all really, just the 4 wizards.

FWIW though most people don't have trouble with the trash, its the blizzards/frost bolts, which are also addressed in my video

Instance: Ahn'Kahet: The Old Kingdom (Heroic)
Box: Prot Pally, 3 frost mages, 1 resto druid
Gear level: Heroic blue/epic & crafted gear
Difficulty: Easy once I found out how to kill the last boss. Last boss would have been really Hard without the trick.
Guide: I did not do the following bosses: Jedoga Shadowseeker & Amanitar. There was nothing on them I wanted. My goal was the tank bracers from the final boss. The instance is not to bad since I ran it many times on normal while I was leveling. Some of the trash packs can give you a challenge. Having a poison cleanse totem would really help in this place. Swapping shadow & frost resist aura helps on many fights. My main path is to kill the two bugs as you walk in. Then kill the two pathing spiders. You can walk up the stairs leaving the side packs alone. I make my way to the right stairs then down to the left. This will lead you to the Elder Nakox room. From there you go out his room and down the stairs. Taking this path cuts out several trash packs from being killed in the run.

Elder Nakox: Pretty easy fight if you have aoe abilities. I have my group bunch up on me and then step back alittle as I tank the boss. Consecration usually keeps the spiders on me. If some start attacking the group I just arcane explosion and they die. The key to this fight is a macro to target the /target Ahn'Kahar Guardian. While I am tanking I am spamming that key as well. This key has nothing bound on the rest of my group. Once he spawns and I target him I taunt it to me. My group switches targets and kills him fast. After that its back to the big bug. Just repeat this and he should die. The key is killing that spawn. If you can target him and kill him the encounter is easy.

Prince Taldaram: This guy is easy. I turn on fire resist aura for his little ball of flames attack. I setup the same way as the Nakox with my group just behind me. You dps him hard until he vanishes. Once he vanishes I arcane explosion to get him out of stealth. You can use any aoe even consecration. All you have to do is target him and make sure your group faces him. DPS as normal and he should eventually die. This is a rinse and repeat boss as well. Its similar to having to target the guardian by having to knock him out of stealth and retargeting him for dps. Just repeat and the fight is over.

Herald Volazj: Very hard until I found out the easy way to do it. I was trying to do him like I did on normal. The problem I had was my druid was spamming instant heals to full health so that didnt work. What I did was kill my mages and 2 man him with my pally and druid. He has around 400k health so it took me two insanity phases to kill him. By doing it this way the insanity phase is a joke. I would auto attack my druid with my pally and just throw a rejuv up on the druid every now and then. The phase will end and its back to dps. If you have a pally put up shadow resist. Rolling 3 lifeblooms 1 rejuv and 1 regrowth seemed to keep my pally full. I would throw a rejuv and a wildgrowth on my druid if he needed it. The healing required was very minor. Just dps him until he dies and collect your epics. Lucky for me the bracers dropped my first run. I never have to go back unless he is the daily heroic quest.

Hope this guide helps. I would suggest killing the flamestrike mobs and the elemental air mobs first that lead to the last boss. They do nasty aoe so killing them first helps.

    Instance: Occulus (Heroic)
Box: 1 Unholy DK/4 Elemental Shaman
Gear level: Superior achievement on all, T7 and all badge gear + Naxx
    Difficulty: Moderate
    Guide:
    Drakos the Interrogator:
Pretty much just a tank and spank. When he magic pulls you to him, just keep up dps and try not to move him so everyone who was pulled still has LOS on him. AOE heal over the bomb damage. Don't try to overthink the encounter, and just heal and dps and he should go down easily.
Varos Cloudwhatever: Spread out your group at a 10 yrd distance from each other so that they all won't get hit by the azure captain's breaths. Tank him in the center and nuke, when he calls the azure captain, follow your group to you (so they run from the azure captain's breath), and turn him with your followers so you can not get hit by the bug zapper beams (remember where you see the little beams form, is a bad place to stand. The bug zapper safe zones move clockwise. His damage is negligble on a tank (because he spends so much time energizing cores) that every time I've done this, even with a regular group, we don't heal the tank - we just heal the dps and keep nuking. He's not that bad if you can get him before the 2nd azure captain spawns and starts his aoe breath on you.
Mage Lord: Keep your dps behind the pillar to his right so they're ready to LoS his arcane explosion, and spread them out so his detonation ability doesn't hit the whole group. Pull him with your tank a little towards the group and kite him ALONG THE INNER EDGE OF THE PLATFORM (make sure you keep the outer edge clear of his frost ground ability). When he teleports run to your group. And as soon as he gets back pull him away, so they don't get the frost ground aura on them. If you keep dps high and avoid having to move your followers, you can kill him before the 1st teleport. This will take some getting used to, and I wiped a few times making sure I kept some ground clear so I could get my DK LoS to his arcane explosion.
    Ley Guardian:
The easiest way I found to run him was with 2 ruby/3 emerald.
I ran an emerald on my main, and the rest on my alts.
I debound all the standard ability keys and set up the following.

Basically, I set it up so when I press 1, the 3 emeralds stack their poison and the 2 rubys target Ley Guardian and use their nuke but also check to see if whelps are up and try to nuke them instead. When he enrages, I press 2, to give both rubys evasive maneuvers (because I don't know which has aggro really) and my main emerald uses touch of nightmare to reduce his damage. When the main ruby tanking dips low, I hit 3 to dream funnel on the other 2 emeralds and heal him up (if he gets really low I'll hit evasive if it's up). And then mash 4, that way, the 3 emeralds channeling don't break their channel but the 2 rubies still try to kill whelps if they're up, while the main still leeches. If the ruby who's not tanking starts getting low I use the main emerald to dream funnel him. When the ruby tanking is full up, I hit 1 so the 2 channelers stop channeling and keep their poisons stacked to heal themselves.

When he shifts, I strafe to the right with the other 4 on follow and place myself on the opposite side of the platform and wait for him to unshift/balls to explode. While I'm moving I'll still hit 1 to try to take out any whelps still up.

Took about 5 minutes doing it this way, but the key is to keep the poison stacked so the 3 emeralds are healing themselves, heal up the rubies as needed, and make sure they are using searing wrath to take out whelps. I used 2 rubies because you can get the whelps down easy.

Also, make sure you fight him so his body is "over" the platform. This way, when whelps die, their bodies fall to the ground and are out of range so your rubies will target either new whelps/ley guardian as needed. Using this method, I found no need to ever use Martydom and got the Amber Void achievement.

    Box: 1 Tankadin/2 Elemental Shaman/ 1 Resto Shaman / 1Boomkin
Gear level: Half Epic on Tank, just gearing up on team (1300-1400 SP)
    Boss: Krystallus
    Difficulty: Easy

This boss is easy if you spred your team before engaging. There are several crystals in front of Krystallus. Position your chars in a line spreaded about 20feet.
    -right wall
    -right crystal
    -middle crystal
    -left crystal

Start engaging the boss and tank him in about 30feet from your team. Its easy tank'n'Spank and just burn him down.

    Instance: Drak Theron
    Box: 1 Tankadin/2 Elemental Shaman/ 1 Resto Shaman / 1Boomkin
Gear level: Half Epic on Tank, just gearing up on team (1300-1400 SP)
    Boss: Novos the Summoner
    Difficulty: Easy
I run up the stairs and position my chars to one wall near the middle of the stairs. Then I engage Novos and setup Magma Totem. Elite Mobs can be burned easily. As soon as Novos can be attacked i run down the stairs, set up my totem parc (Grounding, Healing, Wrath etc.) , use frostaura and spread my toons. Then it should be easy tank'n'spank. BONUS: If you kill Novos this way, you should earn an achievement for Glory of the Hero. =)
