You 100% can skip him, I cleared heroic drak today except for him. Just hug the walls and go all the way around, theres no door to the room with all the bats.

Uh wtf, I ran around him an up stairs and there was DEFINITELY a web there. Maybe it only goes up when you aggro him and doesnt come down until hes dead or instance reset? If thats the case then ya, don't aggro him or its instance game over.

Box: Protecting Pally (Zhazia), x3 Arcane Mages (Zhant, Zhaje, Zhase), x1 Disc/Holy Priest (Zhaze) [Realm Warsong]
Gear level: 80 Blues, Some Epics from Heroics / Badges
Difficulty: Medium once speced and geared right
Guide:
Assumptions:
- Mages always cast mirror image
- Priest nukes when heals not needed
- Glyphed Holy Nova as main staple AoE heal with Prayer of Mending
- Mixed disc/Holy spec to maximize mana., plus int gems, enchants, etc to push mana total (not best raid healer spec by far).
- Mana pots whenever needed on healer
- Surge of light nuke (insta cast smite) when available or flash heal
- Mages have full dmg reduction talents including the resist talent, priest has reduced spell dmg talents which both help a lot and is noticable
First Boss (general guy)
Difficulty: EZ
Estimated kill time: 1:23
- Must let the lightning drop off them before starting
- Spread out the casters, pally tanks all 3 (boss and adds). Burn down the two adds then boss. Priest mostly nukes
Second Boss (big golem guy)
Difficulty: Super EZ
Estimated kill time: 0:45
- Pull and nuke non stop, ignore golem adds and just get agro with pally abilities if possible (they switch I think)
- Before he stomps spam Holy Nova as needed and surge of light insta nukes from priest
Third Boss (Lightning guy)
Difficulty: Medium
Estimated kill time: 2ish minutes?
- Spread out all guys in different corners with backs against walls or piller (think he pushes back)
- Tank in middle (kinda like a 5 star config)
- When he splits and they go after tank run forward with renew on tank, Prayer of Mending bouncing around
- Flash heal, Power word, and renews on whoever has the add sparks attacking (I don't move them)
Final Boss (Nova guy)
Difficulty: EZ (used to be hard, see comments)
Estimated kill time: 1ish minute
This guy used to be hard and caused huge repair bill. Figured out ez method
- Get at least 16khps buffed on all characters with spell dmg reducing talents (may need more depending on class)
- Guys on follow, stack up everyone in front when tanking
- dps hard as possible
- Spot heal, but when you see nova casting MAKE SURE everyone is full health
- Like to toss bubble on lowest health person (priest) before the nova as extra insurance, put Hand of Sacrifice on sometimes (30% DMG redirect to tank)
- Basically, when he starts casting spam HOLY NOVA till everyones full then have a free surge of light by then (insta flash heal) for lowest health person,
- Continue to spam holy nova till end of fight while mages are nuking, have TONs of mana with disc talent that bubbles and gives mana back and can pretty much holy nova entire fight once he starts the aoe dmg.
Instance: Drak'Tharon Keep (Heroic)
Box: Protecting Pally (Zhazia), x3 Arcane Mages (Zhant, Zhaje, Zhase), x1 Disc/Holy Priest (Zhaze) [Realm Warsong]

Second Boss (Novas the summoner)
Difficulty: EZ+
- Run to a corner where the path to the next part of the instance starts, this Line of Sights several mobs and for some reason restricts massive spawning of adds
- Adds also run right to tank
- Kill the 4 locks should be almost full mana still
- Run in all casters with the tank and chain nuke, normal tank spank
- Spam holy nova non stop, dead
Third boss (Dino)
Difficulty: EZ+
- Kill all potential adds before starting boss
- Pull outside the cage (avoids LoS stuff when he fears), without shaman totems fears REALLY suck so it comes down to positioning in confined spaces if possible where they can't get LoS'ed as easily
- Tank and spank except keep renew up on tank so she is healed on the fear, sometimes have to lay on hands or pot if take too much dmg in the fear
Last boss (Flying skellie thing)
Difficulty: EZ+
- Spead out casters at at the top of the steps, tank in middle
- Taunt when he puts us in skellie form
- Basically tank and spank, move sometimes if he does the poison ground (don't remember him doing it lately)
Instance: Hall of Lightning (Heroic)
DK+4 ele shammies.
Just would like to add to the above, that with unholy Dk tank this instance isnt half as hard as with a pally. For LOken I can actually stay in for first aoe lightning nova thing, and just use my anti magic zone on my team, by the time he does the next one hes at 20-22%. Similar thing with 3rd boss, Im actually able to stay in for one or two of those.
Halls of Lightning is quite enjoyable since some of the strats were quite unique, aka the third boss. I ran it until my DK friend got the weapon.

Has anyone got any tips for the Halls of Stone rock boss? He's the one thats kind of like gruul. I managed to do it in regular by letting one of my guys die (lol), but in heroic they basically all die in the first stone. Anyone found a good spot where you can spread out and wedge in so when he does his "throw" everyone doesnt bunch up together? Thats really the killer, I think you have to keep everyone 20 (30?) yards apart which is difficult to do after a throw.
Also I really hate Utgarde Pinnacle, the first 2 bosses aren't too bad but Skadi is just a pita, and then the king is even worse (for me). I managed to kill him once, but usually wipe an insane amount of times on him. Just that one boat that lets him summon orbs sucks, I try to run away but it usually catches one of my shamans or my tank, and then of course if you don't immediately purge bane thats a quick wipe too. Feels like a crazy hard version of DDR![]()
