My macro/UI/keyboard setup (request - LONG)

I am planning on sticking with my G18 and adding a DX1 http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/77ba/ after christmas.
so right now I am using everything from about 5tgb left on the keyboard and I remaped my num pad and insert/home/pgup section to the G keys.
Will be adding the DX1 to sit left of my g15 with who knows what, but it will be more keys!

/castsequence reset=combat Holy Shield, Hammer of the Righteous, Judgement of Light,,Consecration, Hammer of the Righteous, Holy Shield,,Judgement of Light, Hammer of the Righteous, Consecration,

once yeh get shield of righteousness add it between the 2 commas and at the end

Thanks a lot for this excellent post. A lot of ideas for me to use in there, starting with :

damn you fuz.... now I have to redo all my UI's, that's going to take another two days out of my leveling process...

hehe, I am so disapointed in myself for not binding the modified key presses to different macros.
That will solve so many of the problems I have been having.

I'd wanted to do an interface update for a while - for some reason it always suprises me how long time it takes to get everything down just right :-P

What do you all think about this instead of the healing wave only...
for the resto shamans keys

/castsequence reset=combat Healing Wave,Lesser Healing Wave,

With mysetup my resto shaman can only get 12 to 15 healing spam

but this can get me 15 to 20, heals casted, my lesser heals between 4 and 6K while the healing wave heals between 5 and 9K on my tests, but then again my gears are not geared well at all.

Do you have trinkets hotkeyed or put into your DPS macros?

Also, how is root working as a CC method? I only just started testing this out.

My 3-man team right now is led by a Boomkin (druid, mage, lock), root, when available, works pretty well in my rotation - between it and the felguard, I can pin mobs down pretty well. The annoying thing is a lot of the places which are "inside", and I have to use an indoor rotation macro. I just did the Mausoleum/town quests in Dragonblight (chain gun FTW!), and it got painful with aboms and the undead running around.

To be honest I have yet to see a situation where this is needed (but keep in mind I've only just started heroics). Chaincasting healing wave is fairly expensive in terms of mana, I dare not think of what a healing wave+lesser combo would do to my mana pool, but try it out and see if it works for you :-)

Well, the least I can say, your post just came right on time! I am preparing to go from 2box to5 box and I was looking for some examples of how interfaces & macros should be setup.

I just had a couple of questions when reading your explanations. Forgive my ignorance when related to shammies in general and pally prot, I have not really played with them yet...

1. In your "Q" sequence, when pressing shift, do you just spam chain lightning on your shammies and keep the same macro with your druid ? I assume you use this when fighting multiple targets ?
2. I was surprised not to see any judgement spell for your pally. Once again I am more familiar with Retrib than Prot, but don't you judge, or is it just not mentionned here ?
3. on your "CTRL+G", is the "reset buff timers" an option for Smartbuff ? or simply a macro of some kind ?
4. On "M", could be be more explicit on your emergency heal macro (compared to all your heal setups attached to other buttons), also, forgive my noobness but how do you setup mouseover cleanse ?

My last request is a little bit bolder, so I am just asking it in case that would be no problem to you. To simplify my first steps as a 5boxer, I intend to replicate as closely as possible what you explain in your post, including the interface. I was then wondering if you would agree to provide your WTF config files (main & slaves) for Pitbull and macaroon, which are by far the most difficult setups I encounter when trying to follow your example.

Obviously, I would completely understand any "copyright" issues , and I am sure I would end up succeeding. I am just too excited to start that I was getting through a lot of pain with these two addons (expecially macaroon, which is to me way not as intuitive as bongos, though superior on macros).

Well, I end up writing a long answer, so thanks if you read it till the end.
