I noticed it the worst in Storm Peaks. It wasn't too bad in the other zones, though ice Crown was a second. So far I haven't seen it at all in the lower level areas.

Yes, it's Phasing and that's the way they did it. When you do some chains the zones will start "looking" differently. I have many villages and fp now where before it was just undead mobs. It's awfull to fly in these areas :/. Just hope they'll fix it soon, moreso that they even consider fixing it...Originally Posted by 'Mosg2',index.php?page=Thread&postID=151162#post15 1162
But overall the idea is just great. It's awesome when a new village just pops outOr after doing the Battle for Undercity how UC will never be the same at your own eys

I think this has to do with the new Server-phasing. Everytime you pass a border of a phased zone this happens. It gets worse: When one of your chars (for example your new Deathknight) is in a different phase, meaning he hasnt completed certain "phasechanging" quests yet, you cant help him. You dont see his mobs/Npcs etc.Originally Posted by 'pinotnoir',index.php?page=Thread&postID=151128#po st151128
Sucks, but what they do with phasing is amazing.
Are we SURE this follow break is caused by this new server-phasing? I only ask because, well, I get it also quite frequently in any zone (some most definitely worse than others). All my characters live or die together they do exact same questing and I never split them up. What actually concerns me about this random character disappearance is that sometimes it happens on a few toons but usually it only happens on 1 toon at a time. that one toon will lose auto follow and if u happen to be watching that screen; ALL player models/NPC's/mobs disappear for about 2 seconds then reappear but all other toons did not experience it.
Is this merely a case of 5 toons on 1 computer, 4 gig of ram, and just simply running into a processing lag on 1 toon only (sometimes 2) due to maxing out my resources on the following system?
Core 2 Quad
4 gig DDR3
Radeon HD3870
5 toons w/ keyclone on a very fresh Vista 64 install
What zones are you in when this happens? Does it happen in old world zones, or just the new ones?Originally Posted by 'genocyde',index.php?page=Thread&postID=151466#pos t151466

Now that you make me think of it I have never seen this happen before Northrend. I started noticing it more and more as I go through the Northrend zones. I'm 76 right now and I haven't gone back to the old world for anything but training skills and I haven't lost follow once yet running thru SW trade district or Dalaran. I guess I can rule out resource issues huh![]()
I believe this has to do with the fact that areas are somewhat 'instanced' now, you know how areas can change and look different when you get to certain storylines?
I've started to memorize the points where it happens and I just press move forward button for all four hen it does so all will get in the new 'insttance area' and continue with follow.
It's a minor inconvenience, 's all. I got epic flyers by the way, if that concerns you.![]()
Slowly crawling back towards the experience that is Multiboxing Mayhem

Keep in mind, an MMO is never going to be designed for multiboxers. We need to work around the game - it doesn't need to cater to us. I know there's also the Oculus instance (and the Malygos fight) where the final boss is partially vehicle -based, but that's just a couple fights. In these cases, we can still single-box it with other people to see the content. Actually, I'm not convinced that the Oculus couldn't be boxed with the right setup or strategy.
I seem to notice quite a bit of anti-boxer stuff too. Is it just me or things anti elemental shaman too?
the special death knight quests prevent follow... it's completely eliminated, an example is trying to get your mount for the death knight.
I've seen it in other quests too. One quest where I was supposed to mount a gryphon and rescue villagers has follow completely eliminated and so is focus.
It seems to me like they went out of thier way to design boss fights that are anti-boxing, like kill your doubleganger or whiplash the whole team around so they face away from the boss.
It also seems to be that they are going out of their way to be anti elemental shaman. I had one of those little plants in the nexus kill my fire elemental in two hits, these are WEAK plants and can't do much damage.
I find the shaman elementals vaporise in these instances. The grounding totems don't work in some fights. No elemental shaman gear except for leatherworking.
I used to have well geared shaman at 70. at 74 I feel like I now have so-so geared shaman and they are weak because I haven't seen hardly anything that's an upgrade.
almost all of the mail quest rewards are worthless for the elemental shaman ( no + spell )
almost all of the plate quest rewards are worthless for the protection pally ( no block, no parry, no dodge )

Ugghhh.. I have never been a fan of click to move. Probably why I never liked Diablo. :SOriginally Posted by 'Fursphere',index.php?page=Thread&postID=151501#po st151501
