USB Numberpad for extra keys? Able to remap?

Anyone try this? I gave it a shot and bought one...seems a very cheap alternative to the $150 xpad things...but my number keys on the USB adapter are hitting the same number keys on the keyboard. Only saving grace is that I can use Numlock on the adapter, while using the non-num locked keys on the keyboard. Is there any way to remap the USB keys to be independent?

Works just like your normal numpad you have on your keyboard, as does the numlock button.
I do use this thing though, because I like to have the numpad on my left side instead of the regular right side


Sure, if you're in to coding I'm sure you can get the keys mapped to keystrings (e.g. shift+alt+1) but I just use it like a normal numpad to heal my party, as I no crap about coding stuff ?(

With as much as the extra button pads are in demand, woulda thought someone had been on this a long time ago.

Look up glovepie. I use that to map buttons from one input to another. For example, from my electronic piano keyboard to ALT-1, etc.

I just followed xzin's advice & got the Xkeys. Never thought Twice since then. Easily programmable, for an extra 20$ over a part like the one you listed.

All X-keys I look up are around $120...this thing was like $10. Seems like a great substitute to me if we can get this reprogrammed.

I could probably build something like this using raw input from the device and a mapping function. Give me some time to think about it and I'll post what I come up with if it's workable.

Ya, I woulda figured it be listed as Keyboard2 or something, not substituting the exact same keys on my main keyboard for the ones on the usb drive. Hmm.
