does vista 64 bit and windows XP 64bit have the same overall capabilities?

Such as do both 64 bit systems allow the the same amount of max ram, any specific functions that are better in the vista flavor?

If thats the case then i think i am going to try to buy myself a xp 64bit while its still on the market,

Xp 64-bit supports up to 16 GB of RAM and 16 TB of virtual memory. I don't think you'd have any foreseeable problems with xp 64
