one of the ways memes first arise is from people making similar mistakes
the large class of typo-based memes serve as good examples of this
zOMG (accidentally hitting z while reaching for the left-shift)
powned (accidentally hitting p along with o)
at some point, these innocent mistakes occur with enough frequency and good timing to become recognized and adopted by the teenage urge to create and follow trends, turning them into memes
because of the infrequent nature of this alt-F4 scenario, i feel that it's purely incidental rather than individuals reposting/trolling
