Default Two 5 man teams all separate classes...

So I am on my way to 80...

    Seal team 1

    XXI - Warrior
    Magdaleyna - Mage
    Anastasea - Priest
    Dariuss - Paladin
    Ihilani - Hunter

Currently at 74... this has been a decent team at this point have only done Nexus.

Seal team 2 (Pictured in SL)

    Alarius - Paladin
    Qwan -Druid
    Ariantje - Warlock
    Aikaterine - Shaman
    Asarias - Hunter

This team has been the most successful for obvious reasons. Anyone who wants to do 5 separate classes this is the make up I would recommend.

    Seal team 3

    Silens - Death Knight
    Daiset - Death Knight
    Itsan - Death Knight
    Rein - Death Knight
    Seduced - Death Knight

I just started this team it should be interesting to see how the macros will work for this setup. More to come...

Yeah i definitely swung for the fence going with 5 separate classes... I am a bit of a high challenge personality type.. (team 2 has winterspring mounts... that one left a mark). I have enjoyed the chance to learn so much about each class and the dynamics they have to compliment each other. Anyways I wanted to share with the community my boxing experience I hope to post more shots as I get more.

That's awesome! I always wanted to try boxing different classes, but I never had the patience for it. Maybe when I get a new system and I start 5boxing I can try it out

I can't wait to hear more of your teams adventures, keep it coming!

    Wow ! Impressive.

I cannot even start to imagine playing more than 3 different classes successfully (I have Paladin, Priest, Magex3).

Please tell us more about your set-up. Do you go software, hardware ? Do you use an Xkey/N52 ? Can you give more details about your macros ? I want to know EVERYTHING !

    Awesome man!

I run a PvE team of:
    Druid tank
    Pally healer
    Shadow priest
    Hunter
    Mage

I chose the hardest setup of the classes I have that I could think of but I was curious. What specs are your guys and what have you noticed is each classes strongest function in a multi-class group so far?

    Woot 77!!

"Please tell us more about your set-up. Do you go software, hardware ? Do you use an Xkey/N52 ? Can you give more details about your macros ? I want to know EVERYTHING ! "

Currently I am using the following:

    Windows Vista 64
    ASUS P5K3 Deluxe
    6GB RAM at 1333mhz
    280gtx 1GB Video Card
    2x74GB Velociraptor in RAID 0
    Logitech G15 (Thank God)
    Belkin n52te (Thank God)
    Gateway 30" HD Monitor

Macros are basically one key to control them all. Each class has an attack macro, trinket macros and healing macros. From there I build using target=party1target simply because my setup doesn't allow me to switch mains. In some cases I will use /castrandom with a list of the most damage/mana efficient spells each class has.

    Team 1
    Warrior - protection
    Mage -fire
    Priest - shadow
    Paladin - holy
    Hunter - bm

    Team 2
    Paladin - protection
    Druid - balance
    Warlock - demonolgy
    Shaman - restoration
    Hunter - bm

Shamans and priest are your best healers although with the changes to druids it might make them more competitve in this realm. If I had to choose a healer it would be the shaman nothing says loving like healing stream totem, earth shield and chain heal. Warriors are now becoming extremely viable as an AOE tank, I think paladins still make the best 5 boxing tank simply because of the threat that they generate. Pet classes always come in handy especially hunters. Hunters right now seem to blow the doors off everyone of my dps classes.

I hope this helps let me know if you guys have more questions or suggestions.

I'm curious as how yeh specced yer warlock and what spell rotation yeh use?

I I have a similar group setup having trouble getting the dps higher on the warlock I think its due to being affliction specced and having a bad spell rotation.

    Cool setup.

I like the multi class setup too. I use to run:

    2 warlocks
    1 paladin
    1 mage
    1 priest.

It worked out ok. I did some early BC instances, quit playing wow them before I could gear them up for other content. Are you finding shaman healer better then a priest?

I'm thinking of removing the cloth types in favor for mail/leather.

During BC I had the warlock specced 0/41/20 which allowed me to use the Succubus as my pet for some decent dps as well as deliver some high end dps with shadow bolts. Multi-boxing is a different beast altogether then single player gameplay. The goal I try to implement is burst damage at the least expense of mana. DoTs for the most part wont give you the damage you need to be effective in a dungeon environment. Depending on gear, spec and how much time you put into your macros I'm sure you can make affliction viable. My rotation did include some DoTs I just focused more on straight damage and crit. Team 2 had an advantage with the moonkin having the crit buff as well as ferocious inspiration. My biggest challenge for that group was gaining enough hit to become viable for raiding. I had taken them to Kara and was actually very successful with 5 other players from my guild however, my hit was not high enough to really maximize my damage on boss fights.

"Are you finding shaman healer better then a priest?"

Shaman healers in my experience are the best. Priest's definitely have their advantages I use my shadow priest in team one as a back up healer for those oh noes moments. Having the paladin as a healer presents challenges for team 1 that I created by design. I wanted more challenge for multi-boxing and I had several people tell me paladins were not viable as healers for multi-boxing which led me to making sure i had a healing paladin in my group just to see if I could do it. With the implementation of beacon of light it has made paladins viable for this situation. Paladins have the highest survivability of any healing class. So my recommendation is if you want ez mode go with the shaman, if you want ez mode with some squishy go with the priest, if you are high challenge go with a paladin but I would recommend making your 5th class a shadow priest or a druid for backup.

Completed Utgarde Keep last night was a cake walk. My macros definitely need some work as does my execution. One thing that has helped me is going through the instances playing one character and identifying the best rotation. Each instance, each fight may call for a different rotation I often switch macros depending on where I am at and what I have to accomplish. An example would be Steam Vaults. My biggest challenge was the last boss with the tanks. My dungeon macro focused on mana efficiency with decent dps. The problem was revealed when I had to kill the tanks. I had to write a completely different macro that focused on high end damage and blowing cooldowns such as heroism to ensure the tank was destroyed fast enough. As soon as the tank was destroyed I went back to the dungeon macro.

Keep the questions coming... I hope some of this has sparked some ideas for all of you.
