No way in hell anyone is going to get banned for that. There's no list from blizzard on the official way to fight a boss. As far as I see it, LOS is a SMART way to fight a boss, not nearly an exploit.
"banned for LOSing a boss when he does a special ability" - no way that will happen.

Especially given it's no different to Sethekk Halls boss. His big damage ae is LOS-able while the little one isn't, Blizz knows how to make specials non-LOS-able if they want

Well I didn't know that but I DO KNOW that exploiting will be handled in the manner of banning first, asking questions later (and we all know, blizzard wont ask questions at all) - whether they are temporary or permanent. Just wanted to add this point before anybody comes and QQ about the ban he might have gotten.

Right because we know blizzard is to lazy to fix their own flawed game designs and would rather just ban people for thinking outside of their box instead.

Not to hijack this thread and lead it away from the topic at hand but some times it is so hard to know when blizzard designs something into a fight or if it is a loophole. Is bobbing in and out of LOS an exploit? I do not think so there are so many fights were you have to get out of range or go LOS.

Now back on topic.. great job!

Just want to point out that Blizzard can easily make spells ignore LOS and have 50000 yard range.

P.S. Great job on the heroic clears, wish I had enough time to play right now to push my teams to 80, but RL is too busy through the end of the year to even think about playing more than 2-4 hours a week

and to the side-topic regarding LOS being an exploit or not - it's been part of the game since launch, bobbing in and out of spells is an expected part of those types of encounters. As has been stated - they can design the spell to completely ignore LOS and be zone wide. The fact is that we're not talking about finding some wierd spot that allows you to nuke without the game thinking your are in the NPCs LOS (which would be an exploit), but rather talking about simply hopping in and out which has been a silly MMORPG tradition for far too long now. Do you consider pulling caster NPCs around a corner using LOS to be an exploit of game mechanics?

If you bought all your heroic gear it's time to park your main in raid-mode and work on alternate setups - or actually log out from time to other. I'll be doing the first once I've got all my emblems :-P
