LVL 80 already????

So I was lvling Saturday night and a few people dinged 80. Is that possible or a bot? I was shocked that within 3 days that could occur.

There are already people on flying mounts.

Very possible. On my server there are probably 150+ horde that have dinged 80 already. Mostly the hard core raiding guild players.

We had about 18 on Gurubashi as of last night. A /who 78-80 returned the 49+ list, so I assume that number will be much larger by this weekend.

I'm pretty sure there were people at 80 at the end of the first or second day.

On the one hand im like, wow, good for them, they set a goal and accomplished it.

On the other hand, im like I wonder if they read any quests, took a moment to look at any of the new scenery, explored all the dungeons, etc.

People who rush through things and then complain that there isnt enough to do make me want to /facepalm.

Don't all quests start the same (Accept) and end the same (complete quest)? lol... someday i will read the quest

Reading quests? Don't they make mods for that?
And several people in my guild are level 80 already. It's a hardcore raiding guild so it's kind of expected. I'm actually lagging behind the pack of the rest of the raiders with my level 75s, since triple boxing takes longer to level than solo boxing. Or at least for me it does. And for looking at stuff and exploring new scenery? That's what beta was for.

Am I the only one seeing the irony in the bot accusation? You'd think we would know better.

Personally, I don't see the allure in rushing to 80. Rushing to 70 on my DK? Yeah, I'm tired of hanging out in Outland, and I've seen almost everything to see there. In Northrend, I'm going nice and slow and taking everything in. Then I'm going to make a ton of money off all the quests available once I hit 80.
