Well, its not like spell damage stops working outside of the amount you get from stamina. It just means paladins get a wider range of gear to work with.Originally Posted by 'Multibocks',index.php?page=Thread&postID=149503#p ost149503

Ya with the new Cobalt and Saronite armor my paladin actually looks MEAN 8o , instead of the usual clown outfit.
You shouldn't be gearing int/spirit either. If your tank doesn't overgear the istance, you should be fine on mana from blessing of sanctuary, spiritual attunement and divine plea not to even mention optional spells such as seal of wisdom, judgement of wisdom or mana replenishing spells from other classes. I currently do have some mana issues but in heroics or kara I could go forever without drinking.Originally Posted by 'Multibocks',index.php?page=Thread&postID=149503#p ost149503

Oh how I wish work didn't block gaming sites. So much theorycrafting I could get done in my spare time.
Thanks, I updated it.Originally Posted by 'Multibocks',index.php?page=Thread&postID=149501#p ost149501

I wasn't aware that paladins don't look for anything that has +spell damage on it. I was more worried about using a dk/warrior and having wasted stats like +spell damage

All the tank items are made for all plate classes. This is part of blizz's itemization chagnes for wotlk, and why they adjusted class talents, so there wouldn't be any class specific gear, it should be role / spec specific. If you see spell power / int / etc on plate in wotlk it's probably holy gear. There is an enormous amount of hit, crit, expertise, and sp plate items ... by all means take any of them if you have a really bad slot until you get a tank specific drop.Originally Posted by 'Schwarz',index.php?page=Thread&postID=149495#post 149495
Divine Plea is freaking awesome. I was using SoW before 71, now I can use whatever I want and still have enough mana if I use Plea every cooldown ... I'm in pretty much all "warrior" gear now, with roughly 5k mana at 71.
I think the intention is that Prot Pallies can use either Warrior tanking gear, or Holy Paladin Spell+ gear. Otherwise, you have an entire class of plate gear that is only good for one spec of one class. Personally, I'd just be annoyed by the wasted +spirit on the stuff myself, but its not like you can't throw on +spell power to your tankadin and still get use out of it.Originally Posted by 'phara',index.php?page=Thread&postID=149543#post14 9543
