    Default 3 DK + Mage + Paladin

    Hello All,

I've been playing my Palidin (holy) and Mage (arcane) on my computer together using keyclone and having a lot of fun. Nice not having to respec my Palidin for leveling to 80. My computer is top notch and I can easily run 5 copies of wow (have 8 accounts in house currently). I don't have the patence to level 3 Sham's to 80, however I've already started leveling 3 Deathnights together my two and my youngest daughters.

What are your thoughts on running 3 DK's, 1 Mage and a Paladin? I only do PVE and my main interest is in being able to run instances without having to find a group and argue over loot. As a side note my wife has a well geared Warlock that will swap out (a dk?) a toon from time to time as well.

    1. Will I be able to run this setup and run instances successfully or do you think it will be just to difficult to control this group?

    2. Would the Paladin be the lead or would it be better to have the DK and primairly have the Paldin setup for healing?

    3. Any other thoughts?

    4. (minor edit) Using Keyclone.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and input. I've found your forums and wiki to be very helpful over the last two months, answered all my questions without even having to post until now!

    Kind Regards,

    Walas

Multiple melee is possible but positioning is hard. You have to keep the melee dps in strike range, and due to melee mechanics you also need to keep anyone but the tank behind the boss.

    Hello,

Thanks for the reply! Ya I run into positioning issues quite a bit during leveling, figured with more experience I'd solve it?

So if I decide to just level 3 other toons, is it pretty much best to have them be shamans?

    Kind Regards,

    Walas

Shamans have perks, but in general any ranged DPS is much easier to handle than melee. It's not something you can really ever "solve," but you can work with it if you want to do so.

PVP is where multiple-melee tends to be completely useless, and where shamans tend to be strongest (tremor totem rotations). For only-PVE multiboxing, you can be much more flexible. Any ranged DPS class will work well, melee DPS will work with great effort, although some options won't have the stacking benefits shamans do like more totems, off-healers, wipe recovery, etc.

Use Tauren for the DK's. They have a 9 yd melee attack range as opposed to your paladin having a 5yd attack range. This way you can pretty much run straight up to a mob and be able to hit it with your tauren w/o having to inch forward.

    Hello,
