WOTLK pet peeves

So its been now a few days since WOTLK launched. Lots of 80s already, and some guilds have already started clearing raids. here are my pet peeves with WOTLK so far, none of them super major but nonetheless little pains. I am enjoying my time, trying to limit myself to 5-6 hours a day so I don't go nuts. Only level 72 so far, but having a blast.

#1: SO MANY COLLECTION QUESTS! Every other quest seems to be a "go fetch me X bug brains, please". And tons of collection quests start chains, so if you skip them you may end up skipping tons of quests. Its not been fun killing five times as many camped mobs as other people.

#2: DALARAN LAG. Ok, so Shattrah was not great, I would get 15 fps or so (on a SSD) but it still was pretty playable. Dalaran is horrendous for me much of the time, 6-8 fps. Also happens in a few horde cities like Agmar's Hammer, where there is a lot of buildings and NPCs. Time to upgrade my PC, soon.

#3: NO REP IN INSTANCES! Oh man, this was a blow. I was really hoping just to grind instances and get to honored/revered with a bunch of factions on the way to 80. Sadly, you get no rep doing instances. I believe at 80 you can wear "tabards" and gain rep, but I think that is only for the 80 instances and heroics.

#4: PHASING. The idea is pretty awesome and I love it when playing solo, but man, it kind of sucks when you get put into seperate phases as a multiboxer. You tab around a lot trying to get everyone sync'd up.

#5: TAILORING BONUS. Ok, so tailors can sometimes get extra cloth from mobs. AWESOME!!!! Except only the tailor can loot it. I usually just loot everything on my tank and tab around for quest items. I thought the loot system was completely bugged up every time my mage would have extra frostcloth to loot. I must have missed out on stacks and stacks of frostcloth too I love this feature of course, more cloth = awesome. I just need to work out a system where my mage is always looting mobs too.

I don't have a single thing to complain bout with WotLK. I'm only level 71 but I'm taking my time and enjoying the trip for once. I love the scenery, always fun exploring new zones. The quests - theres a few new quest mechanics/quest types. Plant a banner and defend it = win hell I even did a few collection quests. I especially love the fact that PvP occurs everywhere. Its also nice getting new spells and stuff but thats to be expected. Anyway just my 2c worth /shrug

This is the first I've heard of this. Does this work now in pre-wotlk areas? Does the tailor need a certain level of tailoring skill for this to work?

Out of my three chars in my lvl62 MB group, the only profession I bothered with so far was enchanting on my leader so that he can DE. Perhaps I should give him tailoring.

huh, what's this phasing bug? i thought people in the same party were supposed to go into the same phase when available?

Would it be worth the money investment to grind up to 325 tailoring? Understand that my tailor would be a plate wearing pally and the only reason I would be leveling tailoring would be for that extra cloth boost.

One is too many. Even outside the context of multiboxing, collection quest items should ALWAYS be party-drop not individual-drop.

How the hell have you only seen one collection quest? I must of done literally 20+ of them already. I've just decided to suck it up and do all the collection quests since I don't really know where the hell to go and this is the first team I'm leveling. I'd probably waste more time trying to figure out something else to do then to just go ahead and quest.

I have tailoring on a pally, and infact I enjoyed it allot, helped when first dinging (mind you mine is holy) was able to craft a pve belt till I got better from kara. Sometimes as a pally its ok to wear less for better stats if your holy, though not the same case if your a tank.
