Mmmmmmm - this lets you get 2 lava bursts in for the one Flame Shock...very very nice.
Well, the cooldown on Lava Burst is longer to begin with. The point is more that you get to keep the damage FS would have lost by being consumed. DPS and/or mana efficiency boost.

With PvP gloves on you should have a 40 yard FlameShock which is insanely far btw, farther than any other damage spell we get, so it's an easy opener, then it's a 1.5 second cast ( 1.38 for me in my haste gear ) and you just hit them for 5k damage on each Shaman at lvl 75... at lvl 80 with fully gear it's going to hit upwards of 8k. Ya it's insane.
Which PvP gloves are you referring to? 40 yards is awesome! My default is to open with Flame Shock. It's usually overkill on a single target, but it gets the job done.

If you went Flame Shock as an opener, followed up with Lava Burst.. your next shock would be Earth Shock, not another Flame Shock.

You already have the Flame Shock up for your second Lava Burst, and the Dot portion is still ticking away.
Earth Shock will hit harder then the initial hit of another Flame Shock, and since the dot is already ticking you're not losing that.

Flame Shock is base 20 yards, with talents deep into elemental you get another 15, pvp gloves add 5.
The Glyph of Flame Shock is a must for Elemental Shaman.
Shocks also are on a 1 second global cooldown not 1.5, so the entire process is a lot faster than it feels.

    I doubt this works...

Can you Cast Lava Burst @ max range
While it's in the air cast flameshock.

The debuffs on the target before the lavaburst hits, but does it still force the crit?

True. But not having to worry about your LB not critting because it had to chase some guy down and meanwhile FS expired...that's more awesome, IMO.

None spells works like this and i had pretty much the same issue on my warlock..

Shadow bolt then Curse of shadows... Doesnt work!

The damage of the spells is calculated at the point it leaves your char and the same with effects it benefits from.

However if you trow a lavaburst then purge his PW:Shield it works since the damage HE takes is calculated on impact.

Im not the best at explaining anyway! :whistling:
